I am going to try another ROG inspired outfit. I plan to use white jeans instead of the silk pants as it will be all day with a 4-year old boy, including a picnic and playground if it does not rain or the Butterfly Pavillion if it does. Anyone want to hold a tarantula ?

Art Challenge: The Balcony 2 and Arearea (Gauguin)
1-3, 7/ 8: I took my inspiration from the colors and sea in The Balcony and used deep blues and silver jewelry evoking the images in the painting.
5-7: inspiration here was both colors and theme. I used a shirt with a native woman in dreamy surroundings that reminded me of the painting.

Art Challenge: Halftime-Oranges and Cass
Sal’s Art Challenge started today and I am wearing Halftime: oranges. (1-3). The colors, shapes, and, to a small extent, texture influenced my choice of and orange polka dot dress (color and round shapes). In the picture, the orange sections are surrounded by the white of the bowl. I tried to surround my orange dress with white of the jacket. A longer coat would have done this better. I repeated the round shape and white with a long pearl necklace and pearl earrings. My flats are also white but chosen because I did not have any green footwear ( green grass in the picture) to try and they have a texture a bit like grass. The larger perforations look like tiny leaves.
(4-6): I also tried a version of Cass, inspired mostly by the colors. I saw grey and light tan with the barn red building, so went with light grey pants, tan linen duster, and barn red top. The swirly white clouds could be my hair and necklace

Inspired by a Blogger
When I saw Inge's blogger post back in February, I planned to do a version. Here it is. What do you think? My sunglasses are not white but a light yellow-green. The fuzzy ball is not really part of the cap but a bag addition. I got this one to amuse DGS when he was younger. I also felt the outfit would look better with a belt. My boots are whiter in R/L. I'd appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

Would you wear a plaid shirt backwards?
I saw this and wondered...is it a fresh look or just crazy?
My Rose Quartz (Blush) and Serenity Blue Capsule for Skylurker
I need to update this capsule but maybe this will be helpful. These colors feel fresh worn together. I've recently added a silky blush pink blouse and pale blue ankle pants.
My Blush and Navy Capsule for Skylurker
It looks like this is only part of it. I tried to fill in some missing pieces.
ROG picked most of this outfit.
ROG picked most of this outfit. The difference was a similar shaped silk tee in cobalt that is still drying. I thought that it incorporates several trends...asymmetrical top, cropped bottoms, tie dye, maximalism, a bit of mustard, trendy footwear (sneakers), and a bit of sporty lux. I added the stone necklace to fill in a too wide neckline. Does this work? Suggestions?
ROG suggested a navy tote. I am thinking of using a mustard crossbody/shoulder bag.

Fun Inspiration From The Guys
Last weekend's magazine sections of the newspaper had some inspirational photos of men's fashion.
First up, lots of layering inspiration in 1-11, including neutral mixes and pattern mixing.
12 looked especially springy, as did the light colors of 14-15.
13: a new way to wear a turtleneck or scarf?
15 struck me with it's whiteout simplicity and oversized pocket cargo pants.
16: A DIY project for an old lab coat. This could be part of an arty look.
17: Will wearing an extra long belt make your waist look smaller?
Do you have a favorite?

More ROG Fun
In my ROG inspiration thread, Bonnie comented that she gets crazy outfits when using ROG. I get them too but they can still inspire an outfit.
1-2: What ROG suggested, including my house slippers, gold metallic jeans, striped tee and plaid shirt. I liked the tee and plaid shirt together.
3. How I used but changed the outfit for a cold snowy day. The top section stayed. I wore dark denim Paige jeans instead of the gold and tall black boots instead of slippers.
4: This outfit was modified for winter. a yellow wool tee was subbed for ROG's idea of a citron linen tank; olive jeans for cropped cotton cargo pants, and grey long wool cardi for a shorter one. The quilted black boots are the same.
5: Outfit showing the yellow tee thrifted for the wool. It is going away.
6-7: ROG suggestion of black and white stripe cardigan with leopard top and burgundy jeans. Actually this is not as bad as I thought it would be. I forgot what shoe and bag were suggested but think it was a nude summer shoe and a black and white satchel.
8-10: ROG suggestion of leopard tube skirt with sequined top and peach linen cardigan. Tan woven leather bag and red patent shoe. Again I got inspiration from the red with leopard or peach with leopard.
What do you think? Anything worth trying here?
