Inspired by Angie's ensemble post today, I put on rust she'll and open cardigan (EF), faded jeans (Aeropostale thrifted) and gold metallic loafers (Born). Belt is Fossil. I've not worn this combination before. Thank you for the inspiration, Angie.
I welcome your comments and ideas. Are the top and topper too Matchy here? Should I add a small scarf? For a bag I would use a gold metallic day clutch or a have a tawny woven leather bag about the same color as the belt.

Reality/Fantasy Challenge
For my fantasy life I don't possess the kind of clothes I'd like. I also would want a slimmer, younger, more hourglass figure to go with them. Photos 1-5 are as close as I could come. I'd like to flutter about in beautiful fabrics but doesn't really desire a life of leisure. I'd like to be busy in a creative field but making a difference.
Photos 6-8 are what I am wearing to teach a class, go to coffee with a friend and go to a women's group this evening where we will be making center pieces for an event. The last photo is the same outfit with my long black vest. Is this better.
I welcome your comments. Oh, and the long cardi is a K/R. Love the color and cashmere fabric, but what do you think?

K/R: Eileen Fisher cobalt top
Another Clearance Rack find. I have been wanting to add some cobalt to my wardrobe. This is a breezy linen front, silk back top with some of the silk showing in front at the top. It was 92% off making it less than $15, so I am leaning toward keeping unless you think it is a mistake.
It is not styled here but I have plenty of summer black, white, taupe and denim slim bottoms plus it matched a Halogen pencil skirt that I have. On the minus side, does it look too boxy? Too long for a boxy top? I would love your thoughts before I commit to it.
Also, the back silk is semi sheer. On a hot day could I get by just wearing a blue or nude bra under it? I do have an EF silk tank in blue that could be worn under it.
Edited to add photos to show fabric.

WIW: Saturday's ROG and thoughts on my week with ROG
Here is today's ROG outfit. Jeans are a sort of substitute for the finds...still pale grey but heavier for the cool weather. My blush tee is from Target, old black knit Bomber, red Kate Spade bag, and Calvin Klein flats.
I will post in sections to keep from losing it all.
This week with ROG I learned that:
1: it really would be great to have all my clothes in one closet or available all year, or at least at these transitional times. ROG picks from many capsules...casual, dressy, and different seasons. For this excercise I tried to stay true to the picks, but substitutions could be made while still staying close to the inspiration, such as the jeans today. A long sleeved tee could be subbed for short or sleeveless, etc.
2. ROG is a valuable tool for figuring out how to integrate a new piece into your wardrobe. I found new ideas for wearing the long bone EF vest.
3: I am encouraged to use more of my things, especially footwear and bags.
4: using ROG, there are still a lot of style choices: to tuck, button, roll, or scrunch or not; accessories like jewelry, scarves, specs, hats, tights to name a few.
5: Using ROG will test your comfort zones.

WIWillW: ROG outfit for Friday. ETA Photos
This is ROGer's Friday choice. Again, I will wear similar pieces to the finds from my closet rather than the actual finds.
What works? What needs tweeking or to be tossed?

ROG's Choice For Thursday, a casual day. ETA outfit photos
After today's hot colors I'm looking forward to the softer tones of this outfit. Again, all pieces will be something from my closet similar to the picks in Finds. I added photos. It is cold and windy and my hair has seen too much weather to tame. Should I tweek this or can it be repeated again?

WIWillW: ROG pick for Wednesday now with outfit photos
I will be using similar pieces to these finds from my closet. Pictures of the outfit tomorrow.
ETA: Pictures
The pumps are more pewter than silver. The tee will be pressed before going out. Over all what do you think?
Tweets? Are the shoes too outdated?
ETA: another silver shoe possibility. Any better?

WIW: Monday ROG outfit
This week I am attempting to wear a Random Outfit Generator outfit each day from my closet. Most pieces are similar to the finds rather than the actual find.
Today I had lunch with a friend and shopping and a class to lead. Here's what ROG recommended
Topper: Eileen Fisher bone vest (actual)
Top: Foxcroft black buttondown (similar)
Bottom: Vince Camuto leopard tube skirt (actual)
Footwear: Eileen Fisher Allot flats in Quartz (actual)
Bag: Elliot Lucca snake clutch/shoulder (similar)
I loved wearing this outfit and got lots of compliments
Later I did switch to a bright red Kate Spade satchel because I needed a bigger bag (similar)
WIW: ROG outfit for Tuesday ETA photos and confession
I'm posting this ROG outfit that I plan to wear tomorrow before it disappears. I don't own these pieces but have something similar.
Photos added.
1: couldn't resist hat as in find. This shows shoe option 1, leopard kitten heel pumps. The rest show round toe flats.
Confession: I'd sworn never to buy Crocs, but needed indoor shoes for Boulder and saw these at the Rack. They are perfect also for mornings outside in wet grass with my coffee. I am seriously considering the ones in the find but there are higher priorities for my budget right now.
I welcome your thoughts. Is the denim jacket working here? It is my largest one, so I could go more cropped or a different wash.

WIW: ROG pick and ROG variations on polkadot skirt
I may post this in sections as I keep getting logged out. For this week I want to try a week of ROG outfits. Most are wearable. For Sunday I wanted a skirt outfit and ROG often chooses my black and white Classiques Entiere silk skirt. I wore #1. The skirt is paired with a long sleeved white tee, long black vest, nude pumps, and greenish bag. 2 is with the shirt out. 3 is shirt semi-tucked. Which is best? Improvements?
4-5 are another ROG outfit featuring the same skirt and top, this time the topper is a denim jacket, pumps are black, and bag is bright red. 4 is tucked version and 5 is untucked.
Then we have a third ROG idea with this skirt. The top is an oversized linen EF blue tee. Black Elliot Lucus bag and black EF Allot flats. The topper called for a black moto. I show my fabric version then leather.
6 untucked tee, fabric moto, 7 untucked.
8-9. Leather moto
I welcome any advice you have on any of these stylings. Yes, I need to get to the gym after 2+ months away!
I will come back to add finds.
