Using Angie's ensemble post as a model, I wore my white Kut Catherine boyfriend jeans with navy (1/2) and with black (3). I need a new black belt and wish I owned a citron coat, but a bright pink one stood in. I also wore it over the black leather jacket in 3.

Can a faux fur vest work with a puffer?
I tried my faux fur vest over my puffer coat for extra warmth. Does this work? The last photo is the puffer without the vest. Actually the last photo is a longer puffer coat over a puffer jacket, so I am looking pretty puffy here. Too much? I'm trying to find new ways to keep warm. Comments and suggestions welcomed.

A couple last festive outfits
Tanya's daily festive outfit challenge was to last until January 7. For this last week I did lots of repeating of outfits and relied heavily on sparkly snowflake earrings for bling. Here are just a couple that I got photos of:
1-3: also a take on Angie's red/black/cream outfit formula. Jeans are coated deep red, merino wool black turtleneck, cream alpaca cardigan and booties, rope necklace of tiny pearls.
4: warm wool reindeer sweater with snowflake earrings to attempt a festive look on a very cold day.
My other outfits were not much different from what you have seen already. I wore sweater dresses with leggings or skinny jeans and tall boots a lot. I also wore tops in shades of red quite often. And I should mention bright bra and undie sets underneath. They make me smile on a gloomy day. Thank you, Tanya, for this challenge. I am surprised that I am not sick of red and bling like I usually am this time of year but am ready to move on to pastels and midtones in what are not Holiday colors.

Adventures in Maximalism: Casual Pattern Mixing
For fun and relief from cabin fever, I mixed a floral, a plaid and leopard and wonder what you think. The leopard jeans are actually NYDJs denim leggings, sized up. Is this too crazy?

Another group of Festive Challenge Outfits
A few more of my outfits for Tanya's challenge I which I try to make rather everyday outfits festive.
1: another jeans and sweater outfit for a cold day with pearls added.
2: the return of the Snoopy tee, this time with a blazer
3: I hope the red down vest helps make this Jean outfit festive.
4/5: worn to shop in Denver. Over-the-knee suede boots, alpaca dress with leggings, sparkly snowflake earrings for some festive bling, furry vest for warmth yet not too warm for indoors. Several other shoppers, strangers, complimented this outfit.
6: Blinged up for New Years
I look forward to your comments and styling suggestions.

Help for New Years Eve
What to wear to a neighborhood party when the invitation says "sparkle"? My biggest question is which shoes with this "tux" and sequined shell?
Photos 1-3: small heeled black booties. What I had thought I'd wear but they may make the pants look too short.
4-6: black patent flats with rounded square toe and bows. Pants are longer with these.
7-9: red patent pumps with shorter heel than booties.
Your thoughts? I need to leave in about 30-45 minutes.
