More ROG Fun

In my ROG inspiration thread, Bonnie comented that she gets crazy outfits when using ROG.  I get them too but they can still inspire an outfit.

1-2:  What ROG suggested, including my house slippers, gold metallic jeans, striped tee and plaid shirt.  I liked the tee and plaid shirt together.

3.  How I used but changed the outfit for a cold snowy day.  The top section stayed.  I wore dark denim Paige jeans instead of the gold and tall black boots instead of slippers.

4:  This outfit was modified for winter.  a yellow wool tee was subbed for ROG's idea of a citron linen tank; olive jeans for cropped cotton cargo pants, and grey long wool cardi for a shorter one.  The quilted black boots are the same.

5:  Outfit showing the yellow tee thrifted for the wool.  It is going away.

6-7: ROG suggestion of black and white stripe cardigan with leopard top and burgundy jeans.  Actually this is not as bad as I thought it would be.  I forgot what shoe and bag were suggested but think it was a nude summer shoe and a black and white satchel.

8-10:  ROG suggestion of leopard tube skirt with sequined top and peach linen cardigan.  Tan woven leather bag and red patent shoe. Again I got inspiration from the red with leopard or peach with leopard.

What do you think?  Anything worth trying here?

Joy, I'm loving this idea to modify the ROG suggestions, but I'm not seeing the photos...maybe I was too quick to click after you posted?

Too quick, Linda. I hope that you can see the pictures now. I had to use the phone to add photos.

Ok, there are photos now - Yes!  love #3 - the stripe and plaid are perfect together and the black supporting act is just what it needs.  The grey, black and yellow are pretty great too.  The two patterns in #6 and #7 actually do look good together.  I'd give that outfit a whirl as well.  The only one I'm not sure about is the last one - leopard skirt with red flats, maybe that topper with a different top underneath - black?  Or is that topper too light weight for winter?

thanks for reminding me about the ROG, I haven't played with it in awhile.

I didnt know there was an outfit generator. Ill have to try that. It sounds fun. I love the idea of plaid and metallic pants. Unfortunately i dont own any myself. I do like 6 & 7 as well

Joy those gold jeans are awesome! I love them with the plaid, though my modification of that would be to button the shirt up and swap to low-contrast booties (metallic, cream, gray, tan, etc.). Your second version with the black pants swapped in looks good. The color combo in the yellow/gray/charcoal/orange outfit is super, but am not loving the fit of the tee on you (looks like you didn't either). The mid-calf boots with that outfit make the look for me! I totally adore the crazy print/color mix in 6/7 (no surprise I'm sure ;) ), just need to pop on some black or white booties and you're set there. The last crazy combo I would split up for you although I actually don't mind the mix there either (the colors are pretty cohesive). Sequin top with peach cardigan, light blue jeans, and red pumps (a bit of a take on the rust/poppy combo). And for the other leo skirt with a black or cream top half (a chunky sweater could be fun) with those mid-calf black boots.

Linda, thank you for coming back. I enjoyed reading your comments. I agree that the leopard top and striped cardigan go together than I expected. I like your idea for the last grouping. The cardigan is a very light linen open knit, so not for winter, but I do wear that skirt in summer and will try it then with a black or peach top.
NV, you need to try the outfit generator. Click on Finds and look on the right side. To do it with your own wardrobe, there is a place at the bottom to click on "wardrobe only" then on "Generate". I need to add more of my wardrobe to Custom Finds. Do a search in Blog for Random Outfit Generator.
Aida, you have so much wisdom and creativity. Those gold jeans are still out of my comfort level for everyday wear but you give me confidence to wear them anyway. I want to try your other ideas and may wear the leopard skirt with a chunky sweater and the midcalf boots this weekend.
