Latest Festive Challenge Outfits ETA: more outfits in Comments

Since I linked to Angie’s blog post on choosing a sweater dress, I thought i’d start with one, a red EF dress worn to a Christmas play and to church (1-4). It is too short to be ideal but a soft merino wool that is warm and comfortable. I also do not have the best toppers for it. The white ( bone) knit jacket is also EF and to church it was colder so I wore my white puffer. I welcome your thoughts.
(5-8): a casual outfit with bootcut blue jeans, suede loafers, gold metallic stripe top under a gold metallic brocade jacket. Worn with sparkly snowflake earrings to up the festivity. Does this work?
(9-10): another very casual outfit with a Snoopy graphic tee, Paige jeans and red loafers. Is this too young for my age?
(11-15): Red sparkly sequined sweater with matching scarf and white jeans worn with statement Our Lady of Guatalupe on her feast day and to an Advent celebration. I used my red ks bag. Does this look ok? The socks were the star so maybe they were too much
I will be back to add more after editing photos.

Festive Challenge: weekend edition

I started this post with Sunday to feature a casual dress inspired by Outfit 3, Cozy Cardi Layers. (#1-4) My dress is an ash grey long sleeved EF shift dress under a long Halogen black cardigan, I used the black/cream/grey scarf, charcoal Blondo booties and cream KS crossbody bag with pearl earrings. This outfit felt like just the right amount of seasonal festivity. For a topper I used the black leather trench you have seen before.
The second outfit (5-7) was worn Saturday for Immaculate Conception early morning services and out to dinner. It is mostly metallic silver. I wore pewter Lucky booties and a silvery light grey puffer jacket for outdoors. Most wore blue to honor Mary so I later changed out the silver top layers for a navy cashmere sweater under a silvery puffer vest. I liked this outfit better. Sorry, I did not get a photo but will probably wear it again.
Third, on Friday night to a light parade (9-11) a warm festive olive and burgundy with caramel booties and bag and a scarf that pulled all together. Snowflake sparkly earrings. I bundled up with long black old puffer, burgundy and green handmade mittens, knit hat in olive and aqua and an outer striped scarf.
Thank you for looking. All three outfits need improving. I appreciate your comments, preferences, and suggestions,

Festive wear 12-4,5,6. Fair Isle?

(1-3): Continuing the festive challenge, today’s outfit may not qualify but I wanted to try my old Fair Isle-esque sweater. Does it qualify as a Fair Isle? It is Shetland wool and made in the British Isles. Shown with Paige Hoxton jeans which will be tucked into burgundy booties when going out in the snow, several necklaces incuding a big green and silver glass pendant and I may add a floral Christmas scarf for hectic pattern mixing. Your thoughts and suggestions are welcomed.
12-5: (4-6): dark green merino sweater with matching scarf, burgundy leather skirt, burgundy cardigan and twinkly star earrings, worn to teach. Burgundy ankle boots and leather shoulder bag. Suggestions welcomed.
12-4: Mistook tweedy consignment jacket with metallic silver threads and creamy lace lining over black BR tee and white Kut Catherine boyfriend jeans. I used silver accessories to pick up silver in the jacket. Worn out for a casual meal and to babysit. Suggestions and comments welcomed. Except for the last outfit, these felt appropriately festive for early December.

Festive Challenge: WIW 12-2: a column of festive black in leather and lace

Second day of the Festive December challenge. For church and a later lessons and carols Advent program I wore a black merino top with a black lace tube skirt, black leather tall boots, black fleece-lined tights and black leather trench coat. For relief from all the black, a silk black, white and grey scarf and sparkly snowflake earrings from yesterday were added. You can’t see all the textures very well, so I took a photo of part of the lace skirt, tights and boots. Lots of black with pearls or sparkly beads at church today although several went deep purple for Advent. I welcome your comments and suggestions.
On the closet edit, I discovered a wool dress that I feel is too short even with leggings and a black velvet top that seems too tight. Both are history. The lace skirt I am wearing needs to earn its place. It does not get much wear in my mostly casual life, but has its moments like dressing up a sweater and tights and boots on a very cold day to be part of a warm comfortable outfit. You will probably see it again this month.

WIW: pleated skirt pattern mix. ETA ? About Boatnecks

Still in the last week of November I was using my fall colors and still doing the November closet edit, I was trying out some closet orphans, so this is a pleated skirt outfit but also a question about whether or not to keep the skirt and orange jacket and striped top. It is all thrifted when I went a little nuts with orange. I would love your thoughts on these outfits and pieces.
ETA: the orange striped top has a boat neckline. They always turn into cowels when I add a jacket. This shirt did that but I tried to straighten it out for the photo, but you can still see it a bit I. #2&3. Does this happen to anyone else? I have purged other boat necks from my closet, but I like the stripes colors in this shirt. What would you do?
