I'd like your thoughts. The white "heels" that would be occasional summer shoes have been a HEWI. Do these look ok on me? They are comfortable Antonio Melani on sale at Dillard's.
The frayed crops were a find at Marshals. Actually they were crops and I undid the hems myself. Is the length ok? Fit? I'd love to have your thoughts.

Help me decide: Black blazers
I have way too many black jackets. Besides the ones here, I have a couple dressier ones ( light and heavier weight), a black knit jacket, a long EF knit jacket, and a black bomber and a moto. Do you like any of the blazers? I need your thoughts.
Ack, the photos are mixed up. 1-2 go together. I tried to get a quick picture of the jacket open and buttoned, but would most probably wear them open. All but the last have one button. I would wear sleeves pushed up.

Chopped jeans
Inspired by Angie, I took a scissors and chopped. Did I chop off enough?
These are shown with 1.5 inch heeled pumps. I have ankle strap flats too to try.
The jeans have not been washed yet since the chop. Is the flare at the bottom too large? I can always cut them shorter for summer clam diggers.
What do you think so far?

Double denim #2: the chambray top, grey version
After reading Angie's blog this morning, I was inspired to try double denim. For a top I used an older grey chambray shirt from Nordstrom a couple of years ago. Jeans are from NAS and I've never worn then with the big cuff before, but thought it echoes the grey of the shirt. Grey lace less Cons and a stone necklace finish the outfit. Shall I lose the cuffs? Is this too much grey? Stumpifying? I apologize for the rumpled appearance. It is the end of the day. I would love to have your thoughts and suggestions.

ROG picked most of this outfit.
ROG picked most of this outfit. The difference was a similar shaped silk tee in cobalt that is still drying. I thought that it incorporates several trends...asymmetrical top, cropped bottoms, tie dye, maximalism, a bit of mustard, trendy footwear (sneakers), and a bit of sporty lux. I added the stone necklace to fill in a too wide neckline. Does this work? Suggestions?
ROG suggested a navy tote. I am thinking of using a mustard crossbody/shoulder bag.

K/R: Olive Utility Pants and Vest
I found these Lyocell ( rayon?) pieces at Target and thought that they would work well for me during the summer, but I'm not sure. Olive is not a great color on me but not bad either and I'd be wearing a top of a different color closer to my face.
I like to wear vests as 3rd pieces in hot weather, especially with sleeveless tops. This vest could also be worn buttoned as a top.
The olive would work with many colors that I already have...navy, black, pink, coral, light blue, aqua, white, yellow, etc.
The vest and pants could each be part of other outfits. They could even possibly work for some of spring and fall.
Or, I could return them and save my money for something else. I would love your thoughts as I need to return these soon if I'm not keeping them. Keep (yay) or save for something else (nay)?

K/R: Unstructured Shirt Dress Photos now added
I found this shirt dress at Target. It is s little big but 100% cotton. So will probably shrink a little in the wash. Is it good enough to keep? It even has side seam pockets! Shown here with black leggings.

Mid-Spring Light Neutral Drape
Some time ago I posted some early spring neutral drape. Here are some more recent examples. All but the first are variations with the same pieces. What, if anything, works and what doesn't? I am drape challenged when working with my rectangular body because things often go droopy rather than draped. I hope that their is enough structure to support the drape.
In #1, the nubby poncho is standing in for a tweed jacket. Is it too much on me? Would it be better to trim off the fringe?

Transcending Seasons: What's in your closet?
During Sterling's challenge last month of wearing seldom worn items, I realized that most were limited in their usefulness because of climate...they are too warm to wear during the long summers and too cold to be comfortable in winter. Although I change out most of my closet 6 times a year, I long for more wardrobe items that transcend the seasons. I have a few:
Tops:
*. Tanks, cotton and silk. They are a base layer in winter for warmth and a summer top in hot weather and layer with a topper in between.
*. Sheer long sleeved pieces like SweetPea mesh tops and silky shirts. They can be worn with a tank or long-sleeved thermal layer, even wool in winter.
*. Button down shirts. They can be layered under a pullover sweater or even serve as a summer jacket worn open.
Pants:
*. Light weight knits, twill and denim with a skinny silhouette. They can be worn with long silk underwear or tights in winter and rolled to ankle or even capri length for summer and worn as is in between.
*. Light weight fashion joggers
Colors: light and dark neutrals, metallics, olive
Prints: animal from leopard to lizard and snake, stripes
Footwear: toe coverage...D'Orsay, basic pumps, fashion sneakers, anything that can be worn with or without socks.
what do you have that works for multiple seasons?
