My order of the Angie pick B.B. Dakota faux leather assymetrical jacket arrived.
I ordered my larger size of small regular over XS and was glad I did. The sleeves are very narrow, fine for me and adds structure, but I have long skinny arms. Zipped up it just fit on my non curvy bust but I think it would stretch some to accommodate a more average bust. (ETA; Angie has this jacket in her top picks and says it is fab on a full bust and works on an apple figure). I doubt that the tight sleeves leave any room for layering anything but very thin fabric sleeves.
The jacket seems well made, looks like leather but does not have an odor. I got the taupey color because I love that color for a neutral. I am wearing it just over what I had on, sleeveless EF silk shell and Joie silk joggers and would probably never wear it zipped up. I have some compliments in my wardrobe for the color: SE Putty booties, a taupe EF flat shoe with wide ankle strap, and some suede OTK boots and the bag shown.
Your thoughts? K/R? Should I try for a bigger size? Is the color ok on me from what you can see? It brings out the taupe in my hair. Styling suggestions?

Art Challenge: The Balcony 2 and Arearea (Gauguin)
1-3, 7/ 8: I took my inspiration from the colors and sea in The Balcony and used deep blues and silver jewelry evoking the images in the painting.
5-7: inspiration here was both colors and theme. I used a shirt with a native woman in dreamy surroundings that reminded me of the painting.

Art Challenge: Halftime-Oranges and Cass
Sal’s Art Challenge started today and I am wearing Halftime: oranges. (1-3). The colors, shapes, and, to a small extent, texture influenced my choice of and orange polka dot dress (color and round shapes). In the picture, the orange sections are surrounded by the white of the bowl. I tried to surround my orange dress with white of the jacket. A longer coat would have done this better. I repeated the round shape and white with a long pearl necklace and pearl earrings. My flats are also white but chosen because I did not have any green footwear ( green grass in the picture) to try and they have a texture a bit like grass. The larger perforations look like tiny leaves.
(4-6): I also tried a version of Cass, inspired mostly by the colors. I saw grey and light tan with the barn red building, so went with light grey pants, tan linen duster, and barn red top. The swirly white clouds could be my hair and necklace
