ROG's Wild Side

Today I decided to ask ROG (Random Outfit Generator) to create an outfit. It has a sense of humor as shown in Angie's April Fools outfit, but I was impressed with its restraint in not picking my cheetah bag. These shorts do require a belt, so I could not resist another shot of leopard. Adding Finds is difficult from my phone so I'll add them later. I just had to show you what ROG hath wrought.
What do you think? Do I dare wear this out?

WIW: Cobalt/Black/Grey Sunday Style

I always try to wear a skirt or dress for Mass and decided to try a version of Angie's latest ensemble. The jacket and bag are cobalt, blouse is grey silk Belletrix brand and several years old and silver Cole Haan peep toe wedges. Black is the EF tube skirt and obi belt. I wanted to add the scarf from the pants version, but it was too warmth wear it.
Suggestions and comments welcomed. I felt ok in this outfit like I fit in but did not stand out.

WIW: Cobalt/Black/Grey

Following Angie's ensemble today I shopped my closet and found a couple of possibilities. It is still warm and humid here, so these are light weight.
1: old EF slouchy silk pants, EF grey silk tank, Halogen cobalt jacket, EF shoes, Target tassel necklace. The jacket is a bit too warm although it is rayon.
2: all EF version. Same except that I subbed an EF sapphire linen cardi for the jacket and added an EF silk scarf (consignment).
Do proportions work? How do you feel about the trousers?

One More Seasons and Nature Outfit or the Big Bird Outfit

Another outfit that is to warm to wear yet but I couldn't resist showing you this vest recently passed on to me by a niece. The faux fur reminded me of feathers. All the other pieces are old. I wish the photos were better, but hope you can see the inspiration of the bird.

Seasons and Nature Challenge: Take 4

Before leaving on a trip, I put a quick outfit together inspired by Diane's nature photo with the lovely autumn colors. This outfit is too warm to wear now, but includes some new pieces that I could get to and seemed to be the right colors. I would not wear the scarf as seen but wanted to show the dappled pattern and colors and mimic the throw draped over the chair.
The booties are a K/R. Do they look like keepers ? I wanted some this color but had a hard time finding narrow tops. These are SE.
The jeans are also new. I was attracted by the color, an oxblood or warmer version of burgundy. These are coated so have some sheen to add texture.

Seasons and Nature Challenge Day 3

Probably not a flattering outfit but here I was inspired to use the colors, shapes and textures in the photo. It doesn't show well but the cardigan of linen and silk has a nubby texture. The shoes were also chosen for texture as well as color. The hat remixed me a little of the pod's shape. It was too hot for the cardigan. What do you think?

Seasons and Nature Challenge 2

This interpretation was better in my mind than it worked out. The black/grey on top sides and white snow at the bottom with a center vertical line caught my attention. I tried to replicate with white denim bottoms and stone-colored top under a linen kimono jacket that reminded me a little of the trees at the sides. I forgot a belt but went with a grey/pewter one. I am off with proportions and too much white at the bottom.
It is still warm and even this unlined linen jacket was too warm, but I am trying to do the challenge with summer weight clothing. How did I do?
Do the new Joe's jeans look ok? I needed to replace my several seasons old AT white denim clam diggers.

Seasons and Nature Challenge: #1

I wanted to take part in Diane's challenge as much as possible and first chose the same photo as Astrid.
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-challenge
The bare black tree branches reminded me of lace, so I used a lace top over a peach shell. Pants are for the pale grey water. I should have used light grey shoes.
The black looks a bit heavy, even as lace. Comments welcomed. Any suggestions for tweeking this to make it more wearable?.

Casual Rust and Navy

Inspired by Angie's rust and navy ensemble post, I shopped my closet and found this version with Hudson dark wash jeans and a really old EF rust linen open cardi and shell. Loafers are Adam Tucker for Me Too. Beads are Ten Thousand Villages. I used my new rust snake bag. Does this work?
After taking the photos I changed the beads for some low contrast dark rusty red ones. The blue beads seemed too much with the patterned bag.
Does this work? Too matchy? Is the top too short?

WIW Catch Up Part 2: Some Warm Fall Capsule Outfits

There are some hits and misses when I tried to use my capsules. I'd love to know what you think.
1/2: blue and brown. EF dress. 3 is accessories
4/5: inspired by orange/olive using a grey skirt for the olive. The scarf was a gift. Sweater set is a peachy orange Brooks Brothers thrift find. Too matchy?
6/7: more orange/olive This was worn casually
8: peachy orange Daniel Rain top and the bag were gifts. I'm not confident about the proportions.
9: Brown with brown. I thought this was a miss. I don't think I should wear trousers like this. Do you think they could be better as culottes?
10-12: same light grey Halogen pencil skirt as in 4/5 standing in for olive. The EF top is a linen blend and kimono jacket is linen. I wore the skirt to church and later changed into the EF olive-ish trousers (12) for a movie, but should they be rolled?
