WIW Christmas

I was so busy that there are no photos of outfits for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They had to stand up to cooking, being on the floor with a toddler, and religious services, so I relectantly opted for jeans and sweater over my planned red suit in photo.
I put the pieces in finds. The jeans, red sequined sweater and scarf, metallic booties and ballet flats were worn Christmas Eve.
Gold jeans with black assymetrical EF sweater ( with long sleeves. I thought I had it in my finds) and gold loafers were Christmas Day. I was still cold and added the furry black and leopard vest part of the day. It looked lux with the gold. I wore the sparkly star earrings both days.

Denim, plaid shirt and a velvet bow

I was inspired by one of the outfits in Angie's ensemble blog post to try this but am not sure that it was very successful. DGS ( grandson) loved pulling on the velvet scarf. The scarf is burn-out velvet in sort of a lacy pattern that does not show up. I ended up wearing my pewter sneakers with this outfit most of the day but did not get a photo. I'd love your thoughts and suggestions for improvement.

More Blinged Denim

The first photos are from today. You have seen these pieces before...black coated jeans, black and white cashmere pullover under the multimedia vest, shown with large pearls and with star scarf. Sorry to just have socks on. I was not sure which boots to wear and ended up with the black quilted leather ankle boots.
The second outfit was worn yesterday at home. It was warmer, so the red EF tee with grey jeans was warm enough most of the time. I blinged it up a bit with a silk Christmas scarf and metallic ballet flats. Later for warmth added the alpaca cardigan.
Sorry for so many photos. I was trying to show the pattern of the black and white sweater under the vest. I bought the sweater to wear with this vest. Is it looking ok? Suggestions and comments welcomed.

Everyday Holiday Challenge: Leopard and the Return of the Faux Fur Vest and more

Sunday I wore my leopard tube skirt. In the morning I wore photos 1-3 ( skirt with faux fur collared cardigan). It was a cold morning with several inches of snow, so I wore the Blondo waterproof tall boots.
Later for going out to eat I exchanged the cardigan for a furry vest. The rest stayed the same. (4-5).
Today's holiday outfit was casual jeans with bling...grey KUT Diana skinny jeans with a Target sequined top and taupe/grey velvet jacket. Worn for a movie, grocery shopping, walking, and having family over for a casual dinner. Photos 6-8. Comments and suggestions welcomed. These outfits were not the most festive but had a little bling with the warmth and comfort was needed.

Daily Festive Outfits

Today for Tanya's mini-challenge to dress festive each day. I have 2 outfits, both with scarves. It has snowed and is very cold. The high is 5F; feels like -2F (-16C feel like -18C) with the wind. When we go out tonight it will be and feel much colder. (-18C feels like -24C)
The first outfit shown (1-3), is for the Symphony tonight in Denver. Wool beaded skirt and BR black fitted turtle neck with Blondo boots and light weight wool scarf from Japan.
The second outfit (4-5) worn earlier today out to the library and for a Greek lunch, as well as at home was for warmth. Gap cable sweater, Target heavy denim joggers, SE Petty booties and Christmas scarf. I am forced to wear my long black Anne Klein puffer with both outfits for warmth. Coat in finds looks like mine.
I'm not sure about the way I'm wearing these scarves. The first seems too messy and the second seems not messy enough. What do you think? Suggestions and comments welcomed. I may yet change the first scarf before leaving. Both scarves look ok with both outfit and coat, I think.

Denim Blinged for a casual festive outfit

Continuing Tanya's everyday festive bling, I am using Angie's blog post for inspiration. Very casual and cold day, dog walking, house cleaning, that sort of day. Silver metallic pullover and cream shirt with silver dots are from Forever 21 a few years ago. ECCO pewter metallic sneakers with Hue silver metallic low socks, coated grey Rich & Skinny jeans and gifted crocheted scarf/necklace with silver metallic beads and sparkly star earrings from a holiday mart. For when I felt chilled, cream cocoon cardigan from Target. I know this is not very fab but it works for my day. I would love your suggestions for improving the outfit or other ways to wear any of these pieces.

Velvet and Snoopy and Pearl "Snowballs" Oh my!

Continuing Tanya's mini-challenge of wearing casual festive outfits, here is WIW today. Very casual as we are awaiting installation of a hot water heater and babysitting later. The tee is short sleeved so I'll be wearing the jacket with it all day unless doing something messy. Is this too crazy? Tee is thrifted. Should it be retired?

Everyday Festive

For Tanya's mini challenge, I'm trying for everyday festive. Inspired by the fabulous Rachylou's gold outfit, today features gold jeans. Unfortunately I've not found the right gold top for them, so I'm wearing an assemmetrical EF sweater. Shall I stick to the tassel necklace or wear the scarf? (#3)
Kate Spade bag, old Born gold loafers,
#4: Bonus of the vest from yesterday with this outfit. Does it work? I'm not sure.

Yet another vest outfit.

This is technically not a furry vest but mixed media of fleece, suede, leather and knit wool. It's from NAS 2015 and warm and cozy. This outfit is not as holiday as I'd hoped. I wore glittery snowflake earrings with it today after joining Tanya's challenge to wear something festive each day. Next time I'll pile on pearls. I'd welcome your ideas and comments.

Furry Vest Fun

You have seen these furry vests before. I would love your thoughts as to what eorks and what does not.
1-4: multimedia furry vest with a tan wool skirt. Bag and shoes repeat animal print. ( this is a lighter look than the vest with black)
5-6: really furry vest with column of white
7-8: For Angie. Multimedia vest with brown leather skirt, silver belt and shoes.
