I am really enjoying seeing all your lovely seasonal outfits, Joy. You have given me a ton of inspiration. These two are totally fabulous. The T Tahari shearling vest is stunning... a real showstopper. I also love your outfit with the red sweater and beautiful holiday scarf. Your metallic ballet flats are super cute.

Thank you.
Alexandra, I find that starry scarf very useful. It brings some white near the face when wearing black.
El Cee, that vest is one of the best pieces I ever bought, and an Angie pick. It has pockets! I'm glad that you like the ballet flats. They are as comfortable as slippers and perfect for popping into a carry-on for a trip.

The blouse looks terrific with the vest and I love the way you styled your starry scarf.

Joy you are really on a hot streak in the cold weather! The vest is great and the red is terrific on you.

Thank you, Bonnie, Cynthia and Shevia. I really like this vest. It doesn't rub on my neck the way some of my other vests do when seated ( a good test to give any future vests.). I hope the color-blocked pullover looks good with it and not too contrived.

Joy, I have had limited time to post comments recently, but I've been lurking, and all your outfit posts have been wonderful. I particularly love your multimedia vest paired with the black and white sweater. It immediately caught my eye and I wanted to make sure to complement your excellent choice. They make an attractive combination.
Your holiday spirit is contagious. I wish you the very best for the holidays and 2017.

You're such an inspiration Joy! That mixed media is so fab and I love how you paired it with the cream/black sweater and pearls...genius! I also think you glow in that red top in your second look.

Thank you all for your comments. Mirjana, I have collected some festive things that can be worn casually after spending over 20 years volunteering with a " Christmas store" where those who need some help this time of year can get gifts for their families. It was fun to wear something holiday-ish while still being able to carry boxes and stand all day on concrete.
Staysfit, thank you so much for taking time to comment and mentioning the black and white sweater with the vest. I hoped that it looked ok.
Thank you, Diane, Tanya, and JAileen. The red top is easy to wear but not my best shade of red. I think the scarf helps.

Joy! I have those same exact earrings! A friend gave them to me for Christmas about 20 years ago when I was working in the Bay area...he said he bought them from a street vendor in Union Square (San Francisco). I wonder if they were made by the same artist as yours??? Mine had no markings so I'll never know who made mine.
Every time I wear them, someone wants to buy them and I have never caved.

Shelia, I bought mine from the woman who made them at a craft fair a few years ago. She had different versions and had sold out of this one so made a pair for me. I love wearing them. She also had a necklace that I now really wish I had bought.

Oh I love mine, too.
Were you in California when you bought them? Many crafters and artists sell up and down the coast. Could be that our earrings are cousins!

Nice texture and detail.

Shelia, I was in Kansas when I bought mine, but the woman who made them may have possibly been from California. There are traveling bead shows that go all over the country. Maybe the star beads came from one. I bought mine 3-5 years ago.

You look fabulous! I love the textured jacket.

Thank you, Kari. The texture in outfits bookends the texture of my wrinkles these days :)

Joy, you and Tanya are motivating me to see 2016 out in style - and my mood is the better for resisting the siren's song of yoga pants and T-shirts!
What an inspiring week. Thank you so much for posting your WIWs.

Thank you for taking time to comment, Carla. I loved your black beret look. I am finding that if I look ready to go out for lunch, DH often suggests it.
