July Challenge: Color Week July 8,9,10,11,12,13,14

This week, continuing to try all my summer bottoms, add a bag and topper and other accessory, I am going to try to feature my colored bottoms.
First up are deep blush Mossimo high rise skinny jeans rolled up. My top is a peplum floral from last summer, flats are old ecru perforated Aldo brand (#1), bag is a blush shoulder/crossbody tote (#2/3) that is more pink than I realized in the dark store. I used a long pink summer weight Halogen duster cardigan (#4) that is from consignment late last summer. The loose knit snags so this is probably its last season. I wore an assortment of bracelets (#5). One of them plus earrings and pendant necklace (#6) is recent from JJill for credit on a returned gift.
July 9: mint/light aqua jeans, rolled. Same color tank under a second hand Chico’s poncho, pink wedge shoes and pink/blush bag. Accessory is a pile of pearls for Angie’s birthday plus pearl earrings. Sadly I am lacking pearl bracelets. Something to look for.
July 10th: #10-12. Scroll down for more and description.
July 11th: these photos were taken at the very end of a hot busy day with a four year old at the aquarium. Scroll down for more description.
July 12th: yellow wide crops (you knew that was coming) with gold metallic loafers and KS bag and consignment sleeveless yellow top. My topper is a consignment apple green open cardi. Accessories are necklace, earrings and a bead bracelet that was my mother’s.
July 13: Baby blue jeans and watercolor print blouse with lime green topper, more below.
I will add outfits to this thread this week.
July 14 and last outfit for this week. A navy 2-piece dress with floral pattern. Scroll down for details and more photos.

July 4/5/6/7 July Challenge

I was planning to wear the Statue of Liberty tee and white jeans with the red cotton jacket but, with Trump spending Bably needed National Park money on a military I was more in a mourning mood and changed to the black jacket.
Accessory for the challenge is a clear pale grey lucite necklace, bottoms under consideration are a relatively new pair of white Madewells. I will be interested in how you feel these look.
I welcome you input on everything and styling, shoes are silver loafers slides from last summer. Bag is an old silver Hobo. Earrings were sparkly stars. What do you think?
Scroll down for July 5&6 &7.

Sal’s July Challenge: we begin (scroll down for Day 2 &3)

Sal is wearing all her seasonal clothes in July plus an accessory and planning to post the results. I joined the challenge but picked summer bottoms, a different one each day ( if I have enough), with an accessory or more than one and a topper. Today’s outfit is based around some Universal Standard embroidered jeans bought last summer. I used a gold colored EF linen tank to pick up the gold color in the embroidery, metallic gold espadrilles ( Mark Fisher), a Kate Spade metallic gold bag, and gold jewelry. My topper is a thrifted dark red linen Talbot’s jacket. Accessories are gold bracelets ( #4!) and gold hoop earrings and a silk floral scarf bought at the Metrapolitan Museum of Art in NYC, and a thrifted dark red leather belt with gold hardwear. The red jacket is not making me happy but is a useful unlined linen jacket in a red that is not my best red but works well with several tops. The jeans are mid rise on me and this may be the last season for them. What do you think?
I will plan to add my outfits for a week to this thread. I am looking for help in what to keep and what to pass on. The shoes are the newest item in this lot.
The silk floral scarf (#5) may work with the black and white zebra top for some pattern mixing.

Dress challenge: Zebra edition

Inspired by Angie’s dress challenge and her zebra fabness post, this is what I wore to church today: an old zebra summer top, tucked into an EF black tube skirt, black zipper necklace from an art show, black and white-ish pointy flats, an old black and white bag. EF long black jacket ( it is cool and raining).
I tried without the jacket (#1) and breathed a sigh of relief when I put the jacket on (#2-4). Less pattern visibility.
#5 is a zebra scarf I own. I also have a zebra print belt but no photo.
What do you think? Styling suggestions?

Navy version of Angie’s Black Dress Outfit Ideas

Yesterday for church I wore my LND ( Little Navy Dress and a navy open cardi for a topper. It is sort of versions of Angie’s #1 (metallic flats but dress is not tiered) and #4 ( it is a shift dress. Sort of a sack dress but hem is not assymetrical.). The dress is not quite sleeveless. It has small cap grown-on sleeves. Dress and cardi are EF from about 4 years ago. Gold espedrilles are Marc Fisher last year. I chose a bag with gold chain shoulder strap and gold hoop earrings and gold bracelets. I will try to add Finds later from desk top or iPad.

My attempt at utilitarian #2

Olive consignment utility pants, black tee and knit jacket. How did I do? I felt good in this outfit at the Farmers Market, eating lunch at a casual place and at a plant nursery. The bag (3/5) is fairly new, handmade of bison hide bought at a craft fair.

WIW: Reverse Leopard

Inspired by Angie’s post, I put on some leopard, although I needed to be dressed for snow and babysitting a 17 month old. So footwear will be boots for outside. Black Hoxton jeans, leopard kitten print long sleeved tee, leopard gauzy shirt. I may change out the leopard shirt for a faux furry vest for warmth. #4: Bracelets of beads, metal and leather. #5: Bonus photo of early morning snow. It is supposed to continue to accumulate all day. Temperature at mid morning is at freezing and still snowing.
ETA: vest and boots

ETA Close Ups Cardigan as pullover and K/R jeans

I have very few cardigans however this one is still in the closet as a valuable addition to a spring wardrobe. It is more refined than some being a silk knit. Also up for evaluation is the pair of white jeans. They have a high rise. Keep? Cardigan, keep or donate? The jeans are Madewell and, if I keep, need a waist adjustment. Striped tee is old AT. Loafers are Naturalzer. Cardigan is old Jones New York. What do you think?

Moto and dress: the cold spring sweater dress version

On a cold spring Sunday morning I brought up Angie's dress with moto jacket formula. Except for being a dress with a moto jacket, it does not actually fit any of her examples. The dress is Nordstroms BP, moto is Vince, nude mini-fishnet stockings, Aquatalia suede booties, bag is Liebeskind Berlin....all rather light dove grey neutral. Arm candy is three different friendship bracelets. Necklace is JJill leather, crystal and steel.
Would silver loafers have looked better with dress.? I felt warm and cozy even with the unlined light leather jacket .
Does the dress look too big? Suggestions and comments welcomed.

Simple outfit with high rise wide pants and welted sweater

A neutrals outfit . Does this work on me? Worn to daily Mass and out shopping. Outside I put my olive jacket over all. Bag is a simple black back-saver leather bag/backpack. I used a smaller animal print cross-body for church. Bonus: bald eagle on top of church. Not a good photo with my old iPhone. Last photo is with scarf added.
