Navy version of Angie’s Black Dress Outfit Ideas

Yesterday for church I wore my LND ( Little Navy Dress and a navy open cardi for a topper. It is sort of versions of Angie’s #1 (metallic flats but dress is not tiered) and #4 ( it is a shift dress. Sort of a sack dress but hem is not assymetrical.). The dress is not quite sleeveless. It has small cap grown-on sleeves. Dress and cardi are EF from about 4 years ago. Gold espedrilles are Marc Fisher last year. I chose a bag with gold chain shoulder strap and gold hoop earrings and gold bracelets. I will try to add Finds later from desk top or iPad.

Looks good to me! Have you got spring yet?

  • Inge replied 4 years ago

Perfect! I love the gold accessories and those beautiful gold espadrilles with the navy, Joy.

Suntiger, we have cool spring but not winter. I am more than ready to bring long sleeved and light jackets to the front of the closet. Nights still often are in the 30’sF so a topper of some sort is needed most of the day. I may just run cold post menopause because DH is warm. It is definitely not summer yet.
Thank you Column and Inge for your kind words.

This is very pretty on you, Joy -- I love the substitution of navy. But then, I would, wouldn't I?

Torontogirl, I can’t wait to see your version of LND.
Suz, you too. Show us how you do it.
Thank you , Shevia. I could do the same accessories with a LBD but would like to try my black leather jacket for a topper.

Wow, this is beautiful, Joy! You look fantastic! Super modern and stylish!

Kellygirl, I am glad you approve of this outfit. The loose dress is easy to wear and forgiving of lumps and is swishy. I like EF’s lantern shape dress best because it has more structure on its own without a topper.
