I love your outfit today!! I love the pink and the leather trenches in particular.
I think you could pass on 1 - unless the weight is often right.

Bijou replied 5 years ago
What a great collection of trenches you have. I particularly love your leather trench, it is a beautiful fit on you.
Today's outfit is so pretty and just says Spring! I really like your bag and don't think it looks too big worn as a cross body.

Great selection of trenches. The pink trench is great! And todays outfit is so springy - cute!

Well I’ve never owned even one trench and here you have 7... no opinion really. Climate and lifestyle must be different.

Mainelady replied 5 years ago
I admire your collection of trenches! Each is fabulous in its own way and as you have identified, serve multiple purposes. I see no need to purge any of them. All are beautiful, but the leather.....so fab on you!

Thank you for your comments, Sal, Bijou, and Jane. I will have to return later but you have been very helpful. The Gap coat is in a holding zone to see if I really need it.

Jenni snd Mainelady, I just saw your comments. Thank you. I couple don’t get worn often but are just what is needed sometimes. Jenni, our climate has long transitional times when this coat weight is just right, although not much rain.

Great collection - my favorite is the pink one, and it looks great with your pink loafers!

They all look good to me. This is probably sacrilege but I’d be tempted to have the Burberry shortened by a few inches to a more standard length, so you could get more wear out of it. Only if you have a trustworthy tailor!

Love the pink and the leather ones. And the spring out is so pretty - it made my day. I woke up to 4 inches of snow this morning - so it may be coming your way.

You do have a lot of trench coats and I can see why if your weather is changeable. The pink one looks fab with your coloring and "todays outfit" is a perfect. Love the floral topper.

Joy replied 5 years ago
Shevia and Bonnie, the pink coat was a complete wild card and it took me awhile to get used to wearing so much of a bright color.
Karen, your snow may well be headed this way. Snow is in the forecast this week as are colder temperatures and lots of rain. I am wearing a cotton sweater today.
Brooklyn, I agree with a bit of shortening on that vintage Burberry, maybe even some taking in the sides, but have not found a trusted tailor yet in this area. Good idea.

I love the pink colour on you too, agree that the Burberry could be shortened if you have the nerve and I love today’s outfit, light ,bright colours really suit you.

Love the pink trench especially, and your happy spring outfit!

Love these. Especially like that they are single button or hidden closure. Very streamlined and elongating.

Bennett replied 5 years ago
This is a problem I have with both coats and shoes I still like - if my size doesn't change and they don't wear out, AND there is room to keep them, what would make me let them go?
-

You have a wonderful collection here Joy!
Variety of style, colors and fabrics...fabulous:)
-
Joy replied 5 years ago
I love reading your thoughts.
Taylor, I do enjoy the variety although I shrunk out of my favorite trench of all time and have yet to find something similar...black classic knee-length trench of light weight wool.
Bennett, I agree. That can be a big problem. For me moving and downsizing eliminated a lot of space. I started the elimination process with duplicates or finding I had something I could wear instead.
Toban, as you noticed, I prefer the more streamlined versions. Seldom does the waist fall in a good spot, so I try to eliminate them with belt-less versions.
Suntiger and Cardiffgirl, color makes me happy in cold spring after months of neutrals, usually dark.

#1 is on probation? But I love that one best! Lol.
-
Joy replied 5 years ago
Thank you , Rachylou, for your vote for #1.. #1 may leave the closet if I decide another coat could do it’s job. It has a duster look which is a plus.
It has certainly served well. I used to have a fabulous Gap denim trench but it did not make the moving cut. I hope someone is loving that coat.

What a great collection! I particularly like both the leather trenches - fantastic on you. And the long Burberry - so fab!
-
Joy replied 5 years ago
Thank you, Katerina. I realized that there is yet another trench, a hip length blue one that was worn yesterday.. it seems more of a jacket but is nylon with trench shape and styling including a belt and hood. No photos yet or even a find.

I like your trench collection, especially the first one (Gap) and last one (leather). They both look very sleek and elegant to my eye.

Joy replied 5 years ago
Added a find for my short blue trench.

My fave is the bright pink, Joy! Have the sleeves shortened, perhaps.
#9 is looking fashionably chic. Do the sleeves need shortening too?
I understand why the graphite grey is a workhorse. So easy and versatile.
