FYI: Nordstrom Rack is having 25% off clearance and 50% off clearance prices on boots! ETA: photos

I think I was told that the sale runs through Monday. I bought several paid of short boots at 50% off clearance, including Lucky brand cowboy boots and waterproof Blondo booties, white Marc Fisher pointy toe booties with silver-toned studs and a Cole Haan sneaker-boot hybrid that will be great for dog walking.
Stay tuned for a K/R post. If the Blondo’s are comfortable , they will replace some old SE taupe booties plus a Blondo pair in a similar color with a bit more of a heel.
Scroll down for my post with photos.

Thanks for the heads up about the sale. I hope some of your boots work out; it sounds like you found some great possibilities!

Thank you, Windchime. They were all very comfortable in the store with my stockings. They will be tried more at home. A had to leave some I really liked except for a definite flowerpot effect around my ankles and some that would be too fussy to take off and put on easily. The one I am wondering about most is the cowboy boots. Not really my style but they are a nude soft tan color and I do live in Colorado. They can be worn year round here and look appropriate. You can have me committed if I get a leather fringed jacket

    Off to shop Nordstrom Rack!

Can't wait to see your K/R post!

Some of my boot loot plus.
1/2: Lewit ankle strap flats were 25% off Nordstrom Rack’s clearance price which made them around $36. Compare at $276.00. Comfy so far as they are wide in the toe box before coming to a pointed toe. These are replacing some well worn black ankle straps where the straps are nearly coming off. I have trouble finding ankle straps that fit my ankles. These ran true to size.
3/4, 7: Cole Haan waterproof suede ankle boots... my cool/cold weather dog walking shoes. So snuggly on the feet with fleece lining. A unique toggle system for tightening the ankle but easy quick release for taking on and off. These ended up at about $12 after 50% off the $24,49 clearance price which was 86% off full price. They are also waterproof.
5/6: my cowboy boots by Lucky Brand. $27.50 at 50% off clearance. They $139 originally. I am concerned that the heel is too high.
Need to edit pictures of the white
Marc Fisher Ltd. booties and the suede waterproof Blondo booties, so will add them here.

Cute shoes and what a bargain. I'll have to check out the website.

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

    Two more booties.
1/2: Marc Fisher white studded booties. These were a bargain at $21 down from $230. I have not put them through ltheir paces at home yet but am concerned that they have a bit of a heel.
3-5: Blondo suede waterproof booties. If they workout they will replace a pair of older SE suede booties that need some work. At about $24, it is probably less expensive to keep these than have the SE’s fixed, but do these look too flowerpot? I welcome your K/R thoughts and any advice on any of these shoes, this post and the one before.

Bonnie, there were lots of really good brands that did not work for me, Paul Green, Clarks, and even EF shoes that were not my size. I hope you see something. I got my regular size in all I posted. I tried some Paul Greens but they seemed to run s little short. My feet are pretty average, slightly on the narrow, bony side. A medium width usually works for me.

Great haul! I noticed they have Wacoal bras for about $20 also!

  • Jaime replied 4 years ago

Shoe candy! Black ankle straps are great! I like the Blondos, are they comfortable? I like them all but it comes down to comfort.

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Sun tiger, Yes! I ended up with a lacy black Chantelle bra for $22 plus 2 pair of coordinating undies for $4 each.
Shevia, you are wise. I will not keep any that show any discomfort or tendency to rub. I wear all my shoes a lot as I never wear the same pair 2 days in a row, not even traveling. If they turn out to not be at least 6 hour shoes, they get donated or sold. I have worn the Blondos around the house for 4-5 hours and they were feeling great at the end. The black ankle straps may not make it. I love their look but the straps may end up rubbing the ankles. I need to give them another try and to use some Body Glide.

Wow what great deals! I love that store. Thanks for the heads up.

  • nemosmom replied 4 years ago

Oooh great haul! I just saw the ankle strap shoes on your other post (disregard my question! I didn't realize you had reviewed them here!)

  • JAileen replied 4 years ago

I love the Blondos and the cowboy boots. How do the cowboys boots feel? The Blondos should be really useful.

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Thank you for your comments, Robin, nemosmom and JAileen.
Robin, I hope that you find some deals.
Nemosmom, I did not realize that I had posted twice.
J Aileen, I still need to wear the cowboy boots around the house and do some fast walking in them, but they were very comfortable in the store
The Blondos are probably keepers that will be workhorses. The anklestrap shoes are probably keepers but not the best at a rapid stride.
I almost wore them to church today but want to try playing with the ankle strap. They are a deal at the price but need to earn a space in my limited shoe shape.

How many shoes can you fit in, Joy? This is a lot to buy at once but wow, what fantastic prices, no wonder! I would caution a little about the higher heels. I am finding mine are just wasted really. Even if I put them on before I leave the house and they look great with the outfit, I often take them off again. Might try to wear some today Monday as this is only a half day in the health organisation office. Not dressed yet though and might end up doing the take-off trick.

  • Jenni NZ replied 4 years ago

PS I really want to see you buy a fringed leather jacket now!!

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Jenni, thank you for the warning about the higher heels. If I have too many shoes, some will have to be switched out seasonly. I was hoping to keep everything in one closet. A couple pairs are supposed to replace similar but not as high quality shoes that will go if I keep these. Hahaha on the fringed leather jacket. I’m not yet that Colorado.

Update: the white boots and cowboy boots have been returned. The white boots turned out to be toe pinchers after a few hours. They had very pointy toes plus a heel that felt stable but I knew I would not reach for them with better options. The cowboy boots are just not me. I may regret returning but they also had more heel than I should be wearing. I also did not want my wardrobe to go that direction, at least not yet. They also had very pointy toes but seemed a bit wider than the white booties.
