More festive outfits for December, 3b

My last post was getting long so this one includes some things I have been wearing. Some could be worn for a casual gathering.
1-2: today’s outfit to wrap gifts and maybe greet delivery people. The cotton sequined sweater and scarf are about 8 years old be saved to be worn this time of year. The bottoms are pull on heavy denim joggers that feel like they are lined.
3/4 is an off white turtleneck with off white puffer vest with burgundy Ponte pants that look black here. The scarf is flannel from my sister with a moose print.
5-10 is an outfit of black velvet pants with a silver sequined top, silver and black sparkly scarf (9) and sparkly earrings and pewter booties worn on a cold snowy day. #10 shows the velvet pants best. They have a black ribbon racing stripe down the side seam of each leg that does not show up. The jacket is EF jersey and part of my December capsule, although I could wear the black tuxedo jacket from the last post for a more dressy look.
11: my Feliz Naughty Dog socks worn today with the red sweater and blue denim joggers. Going out I will add navy suede booties. What, if anything, do you like. What changes do you suggest?

Love the look in 3 & 4 and beautiful sparkly earrings. No changes except that I need to get a sequined scarf. Maybe a couple of sparkly ones.

Look at those SOCKS, SCARVES and EARRINGS!!! My word, your festive spirit and delightful looks spread enormous good cheer, sweet Joy! How can that not be KILLER :)

You wear white with the best of them. Beautiful with your hair.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. MsMaven, sequined scarves are a great idea. They would add holiday sparkle to a plain outfit.
Angie, I am still looking for a white tuxedo suit. Wow, I am overwhelmed with a Killer. I am enjoying my white hair. I feel like a blonde after many many years as a brunette.
I love wearing these naughty dog socks even if the dog does not look like mine. It looks like a good friends dog that we often watched.
Thank you, Bonnie and Cardiff girl.

So stylish for wrapping presents and greeting delivery persons. I love the accessories the most. They add such stylish details to you fits. My favorite are your snowflake earrings

All your outfits are fab as usual but I particularly love the one detailed in 5 - 8.  Two questions; are denim joggers comfortable?  I have been checking them out.  I would not wear them as gear but as casual jeans.  Do they crease alot or bag out alot?  And your beautiful white hair, without wanting to be rude, I would love to know if it is natural.  I was born dark brunette but have been going gray since my teens and have maintained my hair dark all this time, however, my roots are looking really white and your hair is so beautiful it inspires me to grow out the dye.   Do you put anything on it to keep the color so bright?

:) to feliz naughty dog! Love your sparkly red scarf and snowflake earribgs too!

  • Helena replied 3 years ago

Oh those socks are the best!

Love your posts Joy, and this set of outfits is so great. Festive and fun, but also look comfy and practical for what you are up to.

Agree with Angie, the white outfits pick up your hair beautifully and make these outfits really pop!

Thank you all for your encouragement. Star, the denim joggers are very soft and comfortable. I had to look at the brand Motissimo so they are probably from Target. They feel well made and do not bag out at all of crease. They do feel thick and are too warm to wear in hot weather. I wash them in the washing machine and think they have also been in the dryer. I have three pair of blue jeans in rotation. This pair is a faded blue but not distressed.
My hair color is natural. At first it was a taupe color of grey but has gotten more white. I do not use much on it. I can’t use anything that foams like shampoo, so wash it in any sort of cream rinse. I have been using a kelp product lately and have tried their shampoo with charcoal on the ends of the hair but put the cream rinse on first next to the scalp. It does not foam much and is better than most, but can make the scalp itchy. I wash my hair every other day and use a bit of cheap TrRESemme firm hair gel on the wet hair to add more body.

Joy, silver white hair is the new blonde :)

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

It is for me, Angie. Silver white hair is my version of blonde. Strangely, neither of my parents ever got past salt and pepper hair, but a couple of my grandparents had silver white hair. One grandmother, it was hard to tell because she had never had her hair cut in her life. All sorts of colors were represented in her very long braid that was wrapped around her head like a crown.

Joy, I love all the sparkle and shine. PLUS your determination to wear your fun things and make the most of the festive season. It is inspirational.

Love the white vest so much!!

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

Thank you, Suz. The white vest is actually “ivory” from Lands End. I already had a gifted ivory top and the two together make a warm casual outfit for a cold snowy day.. it is inspiring me to add more vests and warm tops to my wardrobe.

The white items look great! Honestly everything looks good, but the darker items are harder to see!

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

Thank you, Shevia. I am sorry about the dark pieces. I tried to lighten them up, but even red and olive look black. I will try to find a way to get more light. Maybe when there is more sunlight it will help.

Oh, my gosh, these are wonderful! I especially love the off-white puffer vest outfit. You look beautiful and festive, Joy! What fun socks.

  • slim cat replied 3 years ago

Lovely outfits - so much fun, color and sparkle!

  • Bijou replied 3 years ago

Joy your festive dressing is amazing - this is how it should be done! I love the attention to detail with your beautiful accessories. Your hair is stunning and makes you look like a snow queen, it is the best accessory of all.

  • Joy replied 3 years ago

Thank you, Firecracker, slim cat and Bijou, I look forward to dressing a bit more festive in December as I can get away with it. Starting tomorrow, I will be mostly in neutrals. I have a mini challenge for each week at least through January. First up is black, white and possibly a touch of another color to ease into the all neutrals. Anyone care to join?
