Ingunn's Challenge: Week 3 Lace, Matchy-matchy and more

I keep losing long posts so will try doing this in stages. This was a challenging week as I didn't have good examples of several of the challenges. Here are my attempts (not in order due to photo loading).
1: Colorblocking. I tried with a red vest over grey knit top and black Kut Diana skinnys. Does this work on me? I will repeat for casual cold days.
2-4: Lace with buttondown. Getting dressed I forgot the buttondown part and grabbed a warm wool blend BR sweater instead. VC lace tube skirt, McQueen moto worn indoors
5: Denim on denim. Gap Jean jacket over Kut Diana boyfriends, BR striped tee
6/7: Cropped top over skirt or trouser: the hard part was the trousers. These are old thrifted BR wool flares with EF short pullover over a Nexx silk shirt. All soft light neutrals. Is this a mess on me? I wasn't sure. I'm not used to the volume of flared trousers.
8-10: Matchy matchy attempt 1. A houndstooth extravaganza. The trousers looked false plain grey from a distance, so I didn't think it worked.
11/12: Matchy matchy attempt 2: all light greys. Textures are varied with suede DV booties, coated NYDJ, cashmere pullover. I also used a silvery leather bag and shiny silvery grey puffer coat. Are the jeans too short even with the booties? I like the color, comfort and the way these jeans work into outfits but am considering donation due to the length.
I appreciate all comments as to what you like and suggestions for improvement or other ways to create outfits with any of these pieces.

Fabulous! I like the colour blocking in #1, definitely one to repeat. Those aren't your plaid pants are they? 'Cos I bet those would look great here too.

Loving the lace skirt outfit. The booties and jacket are fab pairings with it. Your hair looks great btw :)

Diane, those are not my plaid pants but I will have to try that. The plaid is larger and may show up better. Thank you for your kind comments, especially about my hair. Static is causing me all sorts of grief with it these dry winter days.

Joy, #2 is super chic. WOW. You are a fashionista.

#5 is Preppy Casual Fun, and you wear the combination well.

#6 is very fashionable and voluminous. Well done. (It takes a while to get used to flares again, doesn't it?).

The jeans in #11 aren't too short at all. Perhaps partially tuck the front of the pullover for a little structure.

#1 looks quite sporty. Lovely. xo

Ooh, I see the other photos are up now.I'm really liking the cropped sweater over the shirt. I think the sweeping curved hem is fab . Also really liking the denim on denim with the cognac accents, especially the cute animal print shoes.

Oh, this is great! I particularly love the lace outfit and the one with flared pants. You are rocking this challenge, Joy.

Angie, I will definitely tuck the front of that pullover in #11. The legs could use the lengthening that it would provide.
It is taking me awhile to get used to flares again. These are very nice trousers and fit me better than most. It does feel good to wear a different silhouette for a change.
Diane, thank you for coming back to comment. The cropped sweater and flares are stretching my comfort zone, so it's good to find from you and Angie that the look is ok on me.
