Playing With Citron, Olive & Cognac

I'm late coming to Angie's latest ensemble idea but most items in these colors are in my summer wardrobe. Still, I had to try.
The olive in both outfits is a pair of H&M olive skinnys. Cognac is an old Gap leather blazer, leopard booties and belt. The first photo shows citron with one of DS's graphic tees. In the rest I am playing with a watercolor oversized silk tee that has a bit of citron in the print. I'm not sure that any of this works . Suggestions are very welcome.

Love it with the silk tee. #3 is super!

Joy! This is very sophisticated stuff. Love your watercolour silk. It would look fab with the (controversial) EF skirted leggings. I bet you could carry them off!

I much prefer the beautiful silk tee with this outfit. It's so hard to capture colors in photos--I'm glad you narrated them, because I wouldn't have recognized the pants as olive! I like the outfit. If you weren't going for Angie's ensemble, is there a different topper you would try? I'd like to see a shorter jacket with the oversized silk tee, just as another option.

Sharan, I knew that the dark olive would not show up well in photos. In fact, when I was buying those jeans I thought they were charcoal grey...until I saw them in natural light.
I fell in love with the silk tee at a consignment shop and thought it would be good for summer heat, so have not thought much about toppers. If not for the challenge, I may have used a short leather brown jacket or denim jean jacket. I'll have to play some more.
Runcarla, I was thinking of wearing the silk top with silk track pants, not the same as skirted leggings though. I have yet to try those leggings but fear I may have the same thoughts as Suz did. I have the legs for them but am not sure that they would go over well with friends in suburban Kansas :). Thank you for the compliment. I may love them enough not to care, so won't say never. They look so good on Fabbers
