Inspired by Angie's post I put on a yellow/ white gingham shirt with white cropped, high cuff jeans for a trip to the zoo today and managed to blend in with the daffodils. Comments and suggestions welcomed. Because of cooler morning temperatures, I started out with the shirt buttoned up, but it got too warm and became a jacket.

Angie and Summer, I felt very spring-like.
Summer, try some gingham. There is some for everyone. A small scale check looks false/plain from a distance. The big bold ones look modern. Gingham is easily retro. It can go from very feminine to masculine, depending on the color and the style of the garment.
Robin and Sara, the gold seemed right with the yellow check. This gold bag can carry so much, including a bottle of water.
