What a pity! Can you do something?

Joy replied 7 years ago
I keep trying but get the same failure message
-
Jenn replied 7 years ago
That was happening to me a few days ago, Joy. I ended up having to post from my phone.
-
Joy replied 7 years ago
I will try that, Jenn. Thanks.

I want to see! I hope you get the photo uploading sorted soon. And I'm very flattered to be copied!

Joy replied 7 years ago
Jenn, they will not load from my iPhone and they always have before. I still get a "failed" message. I'm sorry and baffled.
Diana, my outfits are very poor copies of yours, but I have enjoyed them.

How are you going into YLF? I had this problem when I was using a "frequently visited sites" link on my phone to get to YLF. When I went in through a Google search, it rectified itself.

Joy replied 7 years ago
Thank you, Brooklyn! That worked I hope.

Nicely done, Joy! I find both of you inspiring. am especially impressed that you can come up with outfits that look like some of Diana's, since I've always considered her style unique. I guess we don't have to have the hand-knit wardrobe to capture the feel of some outfits, after all!
-
Joy replied 7 years ago
Yes, Firecracker, I so wish I had a wardrobe of Diana's beautiful hand knits and your unique and lovely "made by me" pieces! The purple knit is an EF cardigan from a consignment shop that has a hand knit look and feel.

Yay! Worth the effort Joy. What a fabulous homage. I like how you have taken Diana's outfits but given them your own style. Especially on the last outfit - it is quite similar to Diana's but the different shoes and more structured bag really change the vibe of the outfit.

Nicely done. I especially like #7, cobalt blue blazer and animal print top, I am fun of cobalt blue so I love all with that color.

Very well done and so great when you can get inspiration from one another.
4&7 you have hit it out of the park.

Summer replied 7 years ago
Lovely, Joy. Outfit 7 is stunning on you.
-
Diana replied 7 years ago
Yay, pictures! I really like your interpretation of all of these, Joy! #4 is a really close copy, wow. And I love the more feminine/refined takes on the other two. #7 is my fave. Love it with the soft blouse and delicate footwear. (I'm glad you can wear the delicate shoes that I can't!)

Thank you all!
Brooklyn, thank you for your help and coming back to comment. It has turned colder with chance of snow, so I may revisit this outfit and use booties like Diana did. I don't have an unstructured black bag though.
Mirjana, I like cobalt and, in my former town, wore it to baseball games where the color is Royal blue. Diana showed me a new way to wear this jacket
Ledonna, yes, getting inspiration from each other is one of the great advantages of the Forum.
Summer, that is probably my favorite of this lot. The purple did not feel very successful as I do not have a floral top that looks as good with the sweater as Diana's does.

HAH. Fun that you're inspired by Diana, Joy. You BOTH look fab.

Runcarla replied 7 years ago
How fun! Well done of you both. #2/#6 are particularly 'Spring' like. Thanks (both of you) for posting your outfits in WIW.
-
Joy replied 7 years ago
Diana! We must have cross posted. I am thrilled that you approve. I need refined shoes as my feet are big for my size and can look huge in the wrong style.

JAileen replied 7 years ago
These are really fun to see. You both look great and so similar, yet distinctive in certain details, too.

Angie and Carla, Diana makes a lovely and creative muse, doesn't she.
I bought that lavender cardigan especially for my cold spring capsule and have enjoyed it's color and cozy warmth. This area seems to have cold spring that goes on and on. Back to freezing temperatures and possible snow after a few warm days. Back to the woolies.
JAileen, thank you. Yes, i could not copy Diana's beautiful outfits but used the inspiration to shop the closet.
