Here are a few recent outfits which tried to be festive this week before Christmas. I did not get photos of them all, and some have been posted before. Ian putting them together to have a record. I welcome your comments and ideas for styling.
1/2; blue and white silky plaid shirt with blue metallic jeans and black booties
3/4: silver top pieces with white jeans using styling idea from Aida.
5/6: red wool suit with black ribbon belt. First photo shows floral scarf, which I ended up not wearing.
7/8: red sequined sweater and scarf with plaid jeans. Worn to Zoo Lights shown in 8. 10/11: mixed plaids posted before and inspired by Angie's plaidX2 blog post. Finds shows other pieces worn recently. I enjoyed meeting a friend casually with the red vest and black jeans and white with black dots shirt, black and white flats. The black/ white sweater was worn with the black jeans, pearls and black booties.

I like all these looks Joy but I particularly love the suit and your light neutral look (with the silver).
The jeans look so different in your photo to the find (the blue metallic ones).
I do hope to have another Northern Hemisphere Christmas to really enjoy the festive spirit/lights/singing carols in the dark etc. We do enjoy holiday parties and have lights but a cold Christmas is a bit more magical.

Gosh, you used all the festive colors here, black, reds, metallics-and all gorgeous-but my absolute fave is nr 1, perhaps for using a plaid and still made it "sparkle" like sequins!

Joy, your festive outfits never let me down! You look so amazing in red and in the light neutrals, and look what fun you had with plaid this year! It's really tough to pick favourites here but triple plaid is killer fun, and the texture on the red sweater is terrific! Love the red suit, too. You are definitely a gift for somebody!

Thank you, all you stylish ladies. I am babysitting grands today so have little time to reply. I am thrilled that you like these outfits, especially #5. I liked that scarf with the red suit but did not think anyone else would. Today is super casual so far, and cold with snow coming down. I am wearing the red Snoopy tee over a thermal tee and over my JCrew black and white checked shirt, blue jeans and red indoor shoes. The Snoopy and snowman shirt seems appropriate on a snowy day. -

Thank you, The Cat and Zibbits for pointing out your favorites. That lighted tree is in the Denver Zoo for the holidays. It is gorgeous. I wore the outfit just before the tree to take the grandson who is 3 and is delighted with light displays.
Sal, those blue metallic jeans are very much like the find...bright blue and very skinny. They are not exactly the ones in the find. Mine are AG from a couple of years ago. I need to make a custom find. -

I changed the find for the blue metallic jeans. They are super skinny leggings but do not fit me that tightly.
