Easy Neckerchief Outfit: Hit or Miss?

My response to Angie's blog post yesterday. Is the hair any better than my last try at beach hair? Should the pants be longer or shorter? The "neckerchief" is actually a cotton table napkin. Too napkiny?
Comments and suggestions welcomed.

I love the top and bottoms. Very cute and flattering. I confess I'm not a big fan of neckerchiefs in general, so will leave that for others. I like your hair.

Joy, you are so clever!! This is a complete hit and I would never have known that you were wearing a table napkin! That is taking fashion into your own hands, Lady. Queen Resourceful!!

Did you trim your hair also? It looks great.

    HIT

    Killer

    LOVE.

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

Thank you, delurked. This is not the way that I usually wear a napkin...er neckerchief.
Suz, I have not had my hair cut but did more scrunching. It is a bit longer than it looks here. Thank you for the huge compliment. I am working with a reduced closet and accessories as much has been packed for moving, so must be extra resourceful. The cloth napkins will soften with more washing but come in such great patterns.
Angie, a "Killer"! I'm humbled and thrilled.

Perfect as is, Joy! I love it! Pants are a great length, that tee looks amazing, loving your wavy 'do as well, and the table napkin is so creative! I bet it will look even better once the fabric has softened up a bit. (and boy, we have an ocean of options now that cloth napkins are on the table too, pun not intended;-)

Very nice! I would never have known that is a napkin and the colors really add a lot of interest. Love the skinny pants, they work great with those shoes.

Winning!  You look as if your from Paris or jet set bound

Love your creativity and sassy look Joy. Also love your hair and posture! Beautiful.

    Spot on!

Loved your pun, Inge. I can go nuts in the kitchen linen section of William Sonoma but get puzzled looks from SAs when I buy just on napkin in a design. :)
Thank you, Robin. I was going to wear white kitten heels but then found that they were already packed, so these flats had to fill in. They probably look more like the inspiration picture anyway.
Ledonna, don't I wish. Thank you.
    Sihaya and Rachylou, thank you.

    Wow - great rendition Joy!

I love it!  Would never have guessed it's a napkin.  You look fantastic, you are inspiring and motivating me to work on my outfits again.

*runs to dining room to check cloth napkins for potential neck scarf duty*.

What a great idea! And do you ever look dynamite here . I can't get over this ....

  • skylurker replied 7 years ago

    Lol, how resourceful you are.
To answer your questions : yes, no, and no (unless the fabric gives you away IRL which can't be judged in pictures).

And, yes, it's a hit, you look fabulously relaxed and modern.

Love this on you, Joy, you are so clever!  A hit if there ever was one :)

  • Jaime replied 7 years ago

    Incredible! Definite hit!

Joy, I thought I was cleaver stealing my SO's pocket squares for neck scarves, but I must say you win with the napkin!

Your outfit looks perfect and I like your hair, it really is pretty.

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

Colette, I also use men's pocket squares, especially when I want a certain color. They are silk, which is a different, not as casual look. I found one at the Rack that I had to have that is white with black stars. Fun.
Texstyle, Shevia and Tanya, thank you for the encouragement.
Skylurker, yes, I must be careful not to match the table linens at dinner.
CocoLion and Lisap, check your table linens for inspiration. ;)

  • Inge replied 7 years ago

LOL:-) I hear you, Joy, the kitchen linens are always shouting at me too. And stores like William Sonoma are downright dangerous, everywhere I look there's something I want ;-)

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

Inge! You are up early. Yes, my dream kitchen would be William Sonoma, changing with the seasons like their displays.

  • Cococat replied 7 years ago

A definite hit Joy! How could you ever consider it a miss? YLF! :)

  • krishnidoux replied 7 years ago

    It's a hit.
I would also try rolling it once more.

  • Joy replied 7 years ago

Thank you for the tip, Krishnidoux, and encouraging words, CocoCat. I can get too maximal pretty easily and thought this might be one of those times.
