WIW: warm and humid has arrived

Here is a hodge lodge of recents that I managed to get photos of. We have had guests staying in the spare bedroom where I take photos so many outfits are missing but most are duplicates of what you have seen. Some of these may be too
1. -3. I've worn this dress quite a bit. Shown with Hinge denim vest, alone and Denim jacket; Born silver sandals and MeToo dove patent peep toes.
4. Blush jeans, Classiques Entiere silk top, MeToo Adam Tucker flats.
5. Paige capris from San, ancient oversized silk tee (Carole Little), leopard Franco Sarto sandals, thrifted leather belt. Is this tee too old. Does it look ok? It has survived editing because I live in "The Sunflower State" and occasionally need something like this, but maybe it's time to let it go.
Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

It's hard to tell whether the tee looks old from the pic. You can probably tell more up close. But I just adore that look! Such a cute shirt.

Joy I still can't get over how beautiful you look with that haircut! That dress is spectacular on you! It looks like the perfect thing for the heat. And what a nice collection of sandals and metallics you have, so flattering on you. I can see why the blush jeans are a neutral for you and such a workhorse! That silk top with them makes a perfect simple and chic outfit. The sunflower T is cute, but not that sophisticated IMO. Hey, could you treat it as a graphic T in Angie's formula where you wear it with all dressy items? That might work, but it would have to wait for Fall as there are layers involved. Ugh. Humid hasn't arrived here but Heat sure has.

Just beautiful, Joy! These colours are lovely on you.

My favorite set of outfits from you ever.  You have beautiful eyes btw.

ETA -- silk tee looks fine from the picture, and so on trend again!

You look so fab!!!  I always love seeing your outfits, but these truly blew me out of the water.  Stunning lady!

  • Janet replied 10 years ago

I know I've said it before, but I love your hair.

Great outfits! I especially love the dress with the denim jacket, and I like the sunflower shirt with those striped clamdiggers too.

Not sure if I've ever mentioned this before, Joy, but so many of your clothes and accessories have a "little special" going on, it's part of your signature style and it makes all your outfits extra amazing. E.g. the gorgeous striped dress with the asymmetrical detailing, the blush colored jeans, that fantastic sunflower print on the tee, the stripes on the capri pants. LOVE it!!

And I LOVE each and every outfit. They are perfect!! (adore the print of the tee so much with the stripes of the capris, I think it looks playful, fun and polished).

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Joy, your style knows no bounds. You look sensational in the striped dress in all its incarnations, and it must be perfect for the heat.

Love the silk top's gorgeous texture and it looks great with the blush jeans.

As for the last outfit, I can't tell if the T is old, but I desperately want you to keep wearing it just like this with the stripes, because this outfit is perfection!!

I love all of these, Joy. The sunflower tee especially tickles me, maybe because it reminds me of a print in a local shop that I've had my eyes on for a few months. I love it with the clams that San gave you (miss her, btw). Beautiful!

You look fabulous in sleeveless with your toned arms. I love the dress and how you styled it. Also love the Classiques top with the blush pants. I think Inge hit the nail on the head. You do have the little special something going on!

Your hair is so glorious. I like all of these outfits!

I love your pretty hair, Joy - and your purple dress is really neat! I'm so glad you included the pic without the topper, it has such an interesting detail!

And aren't sunflower fields so pretty? Too bad it's hard to get married in them because they are sticky :p I love the top, I vote keep!

  • Nicola replied 10 years ago

    Beautiful dress (and beautiful you).

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

Love the dress, love the striped shorts, love your hair and really my only suggestion is to take a picture of #4 from the front so I can see it better!

  • Peri replied 10 years ago

Hi Joy...love that dress! Something like that might be the thing I'm looking for the outdoor wedding.

Do you mind sharing...where and what? Is it still available?

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

What Rachy said. I like you in these soft shades that pick up your hair and rosy cheeks so much, Joy!

#3 is absolutely flawlessly KILLER. WOW. And aren't you the cutest thing in your striped clams in #5. I could eat you up. xo

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

Joy, you are a joy to behold! You look so radiant in these pictures and your haircut is amazing!
High five, blush pants twin! :-)
The dress is amazing on you and I like the sunflower tee very much. Unless it is falling apart I thing it is a keeper!

You're right about hot and humid!  I'm finding it a bit of a shock to my system up here just north of you.  You look terrific though - that dress is perfect!

  • Sarah A replied 10 years ago

Each on of these is so fantastic! I love the dress, and it is fab with the demin but #5 is stealing the show.... I just love those clams on you!

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

Thank you each for your lovely compliments and comments. My cheeks are blushing.
Claire, I'd not ever thought to wear the sunflower top using Angie's graphic tee formula. Great idea!
Denise, Inge, Suz, Debora, Angie and Sveta, thank you. I'm humbled at such high praise.
Shevia, if I have a photo still on the phone of 4 from the front, I'll add it for you :)
Debora, the sunflower top really does resemble your print! Lyn, the fields are gorgeous and fun to see every flower facing the sun. Having a sunflower field for weddings would be a good idea for farmers to bring in some extra money.
Peri, the dress is Evan-Picone. I found it at Dillard's a couple of years ago.
To each who commented on my hair, thank you. I really like it this way and want to keep it in this style for awhile.

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

Photos added for Shevia. These are a bit rumpled after a hot day of shopping garage sales with a friend.
    Warning:
You will eventually see the green version of the same top in my WIWs as I liked the purple top so well that I couldn't resist the green when I found it marked down at the Rack.

Love the dress and denim jacket and your clamdigger outfit is fab! You have some lovely footwear and I agree... fab hair :)

Chic and stylish, Joy!  Dressing for the extreme heat/humidity is no easy task, but you've pulled it off brilliantly.
