WIW: Oldies

Today I styled some 6-7 year old closet items still in rotation.
COH straight dark wash jeans, probably my first Nordstroms purchase..
Very old black turtleneck of heavy knit silk that has been a layering piece for years. Nina Charles for Kasper ASL.
Calson brown leather moto-esque jacket from my first NAS.
Very old ECCO bowling shoe style oxfords.
Old cotton scarves that are favorites.. Leopard bandana and RL large square. Even my bra is older, once kept for good and still fits.
I am enjoying wearing these oldies today although I should go buy a KC Royals World Series champs tee to wear.
Comments and suggestions welcomed, especially for styling any of these pieces. Should anything be retired?

Wow, Joy!  You look cool, put together, and current - it's wonderful that these all still fit, flatter and seem like you.  Inspiring!

Nothing here looks tired or dated, they are true classic pieces that show their quality.

I especially love the jeans and the brown leather jacket.

    You look fantastic Joy!!

What dianne said. "Fantastic" was my thought, exactly!

Everything looks current and great to me. I have a slight preference for the second pattened scarf, but they both look good.

This seems darker than your current color palette. Or maybe I'm just thinking of your summer wardrobe? But it works well on you!

Love the brown jacket and scarf. Fantastic outfit.

You look smashing! I actually like plain and simple #1 the best.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Shevia, I felt slimmer than usual in #1 and that made me happy.

You look lithe and lovely! These are all stellar!

Really awesome! Very polished, and great attention to detail. You look fabulous in the black top. Definitely don't retire any of these.

Thank you, Mary and Gigi. You put a big smile on my face :)

You look super cool! I especially like all the looks with the jacket. Love the brown tones.

You look really slim, fit and uber smart! These are all classic pieces and do true justice to your fantastic figure. You look fab!

I really love the shoes & the jacket, though you look simply fabulous in #1

Brooklyn, I like the brown tones too. I tried to ban brown from the closet in an effort to downsize, then missed it too much.
Maneera, you made my day. I'm glad that the shoes got approval. They are so comfortable.

How cute are you, Queen Golden Oldie.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Thanks, Angie. I'm probably more of a titanium or pewter oldie. :)

You look really great Joy! Very sharp and polished. What a lovely jacket and the sweater is very sleek on very sleek 'you'. Don't retire any of the pieces!

  • Zibbets replied 8 years ago

    Fantastic, Joy!
I really like how you tied the scarves - different and both good. Your brown moto is gorgeous and those jeans! Well done.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Thank you for the uplifting words, Diane.
Zibbets, I love to wear scarves, my favorite add-on.

  • Suz replied 8 years ago

Joy, you look amazing. Slim, cool, modern classic boho. Brilliant.

I agree you look super sleek in these casually chic outfits, Joy. I love that jacket--such a great fit, and the leather looks luxurious. I prefer the paisley scarf here, but if I had a leopard bandana, I'd hang onto it, too!
