Joy, you look amazing! There is indeed lots of black, it is nice that you lifted it with the jewellery, bags and the shoes! I may copy those looks, hope you don't mind!

Wow, you did it again. All beautiful.

You have great style, as usual. My favorite is 1/2. The way you use metallics to bookend your hair as well as add interest to your outfit is just great.

Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you, Cee, Minaminu, and suntiger. Do I need a longer chain to consider the leaf necklace in the third outfit to be a statement necklace? Otherwise it is a column of black. Minaminu, I would be so flattered if you copy any or all of these looks.

Catherine and Teresa, we must have cross posted. Thank you for voicing your thoughts. Black and silver is a fall back outfit for me. Easy especially for fall dressing.

Feels very put together outfits for fall. Love your necklace with a leaf pendant - perfect size and length of chain!

Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you, slim cat. I have been trying to dress with a nod to fall. Today it is fall colors.

KLLER x3. You nailed it, sweet Joy.

Bonnie , you would rock a utility vest like #1. Angie, I am thrilled to my toes. A KillerX3! Later in October I will do winter vests.

Wow, you and your arms look terrific! Slam dunks, all of them!

nemosmom replied 3 years ago
All of these are terrific, Joy! You accessorize with jewelry like a pro - I love how you make it look like a perfect tidy bow on a package - never overdone, if that makes sense. Just the right amount of sparkle. I always feel like a disco ball... what is your secret?!
-
Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you , Kellygirl, I am glad you think my arms look ok. I need to find a gym if they ever open up
Nemosmom, I have been k own for a divorce ball look especially for a holiday occasion. My grandkids appreciate a bit of shine but I don’t have a secret. I just go with what feels right at the time.

All great looks, Joy! You look good in black...very sleek.

Jaime replied 3 years ago
Your arms look great as do your outfits. Hard to see the black on black but the silhouette looks excellent.
-
Runcarla replied 3 years ago
Great outfits. (I’m always glad to see your outfit posts.). Those are some seriously beautiful shoes...*runs off with Coach loafers* before anyone else can!
-
Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you, Aquamarine, Shevia and Runcarla. I found that when my hair turned white, I could wear black better than I ever had before, but it can be too easy. I appreciate Angie’s thoughts on how to wear it successfully. Shevia, I tried to lighten the photo, but it is hard to see black on black. In the third photo I tried to show the transparency of the vest over the other black.
Runcarla, I now have two pair of Coach flats and find them very comfortable. The silver pointy toes flare out at the right place but are not good to wear to church because of the kneelers.

These are so fab, Joy. I really like how you are wearing vests as a summer layer--perfect for the less-hot days. Your combos of olive and silver and black and silver are so elegant. Seriously, these outfits are each an 11 out of 10!
-
Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you, Fiercracker. Your approval means a lot.

Windchime replied 3 years ago
Wonderful fall vest stylings, Joy! You could be a model for how to successfully wear vests. Like others have mentioned, the metallic shoes and accessories are fab with your hair.

Joy replied 3 years ago
Windchime, you made my day. You are a sweetheart.

Brooklyn replied 3 years ago
Fabulous Joy. I love the metallic accents. My favourite is no 1. I’d like to copy it :)
-
Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you , Brooklyn. I know your version of #1 would be fabulous. I do a winter version of #1 with long olive pants, black sweater and pewter booties plus a faux furry black vest.

Great outfits and you wear EF so well. The metallic Coach shoes are particularly gorgeous. Your arms look good to me!
-
rachylou replied 3 years ago
I really like the dress outfit and the matching olive? It actually looks brown on my phone...
-
Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you , Jane and Rachylou. I do have puffy vests that will come out when the weather gets a bit cooler.
-
Astrid replied 3 years ago
You look great! Love all of these. Nothing wrong with black. :)
-
Joy replied 3 years ago
Thank you, Astrid. I need to remember that there is nothing wrong with black ( except on a tropical beach vacation) and even then it is just different than everyone else.
