That seems good. I just think about the fact that I feel I need so many more of the basics. I don’t know how to wash only seven pairs of socks in the same way I don’t know how to bake only one loaf of bread.

Good work! Love that you don’t lounge! No suggestions but I’m envious of your two robes. I have a thin cotton one, which is pretty but wear jumpers otherwise.

So organized Joy - happy shopping! Doesn't it feel good to work though this piece.

    Thank you.
Rachylou, I wash every day so that even 7 is probably too many.
Jane, I usually have one robe, but the second was a gift. The main robe ( terry cloth) gets used most for when we use the hot tub and after a shower ...kind of serves as a wearable towel.
Torontogirl, yes, it feels good and inspires me to do more. I got things better organized and even freed up space for shoes and bags to make them more visible.

You sound very much in control of this situation. And yellow underthings, what a fun idea!

Nicely done! Enjoy your organized space!

Well done. You look sorted, and have a good plan.

    Good job and good inspiration!
I need to edit my pantyhose and tights. I wear both regularly but need to review for pills, fit, “ best nude”, “ best black and off- black” brands for very dressy occasions, and such , as the numbers of items are overrunning my space and there are a lot I’m not wearing.

I also have a lot of colors of JJILL camisoles( actually tanks) I’m not wearing but hate to get rid of do to the “ I might need this exact color again one day “. Hmmm.

Jessikams, it can be hard to find colorful bras that fit and undies that are not thongs. The yellow is a favorite as is red.
Nemosmom, I won't really feel organized until I finish the rest of my wardrobe.. I need to find a good spot for hand bags currently with stuff in them before the clean out and putting them away. I keep losing track of them and things like my drivers license and medical cards.
Thank you for the challenge, Angie. It was a sign that I needed to get going on the editing
Unfrumped, I am sized out of JJill. It is cut too big, but I know what you mean. Besides camisoles do not take up much room. I usually only wear pantyhose and tights in winte, and several pair do not stretch up high enough on

Excellent to know what you *dont* need at all. I still find it difficult to let go of some just-in-case basics.

For hosiery, do you ever shop for this category at Nordstrom? I’m considering it, but wonder if the price point will be worth it for such an ephemeral category of items.

Good question, Sarah. I have been pleased with Norstrom socks. They stay up. Smart Wool socks at the Rack are less than at REI. As for stockings, I have yet to find a really good nude for me there. I have bought the micro mini fishnets and they last about the same as other stockings, but fit and length are good. I tried a pair of Spanx sheer nudes and they were ok. I like Donna Karan and Hanes Silk Reflections brands but don't know if Nordstom carries them ( or if they still exist!). I have a pair of Shimera but they are still in the freezer. They look a little thicker than most.
