Outfit Lab: Wide Black Crops

This outfit does not strictly follow Angie’s blog #5. I used tall boots .
The first 3 photos show ways I could wear the scarf to keep the sweater from being scratchy on my neck. It is a cold day with snow coming down. I have a ladies meeting to attend where they dress up some and notice what I wear. I wanted to use these EF wide pants in a winter way.
#4/5: textured vest over sweater
#6: new puffer coat over everything
#7: leather moto jacket
#8: leather blazer
I also have a black trench that could work with the sweater without the vest.
I was trying for some texture variation.
What do you like best or other suggestions? I have black dressy booties that could be used instead of the tall boots, also charcoal grey sneaker hiking boots more like Angie’s photo with scrunched socks but felt that may be better for another occasion. Please help me with this outfit.
ETA: Please overlook the wild hair. Nothing had been done with it yet after my shower.

I think it looks terrific Joy - I'm really coming around to this style of pant, seeing how you lovely ladies are styling them! And the tall boot with the crop is practical, especially for a wide pant, for avoiding puddles and slush. The booties would look great I'm sure, but save those for a warmer day :)

I like the outfit with tall boots . The puffer is very nice and you are ready for snow. Have a nice time.

    Iris is proud :)

I LOVE the pullover with your hair. Very complementary.

Angie, this pullover has survived a couple of closet edits because it looks so good on and is soft and warm although too itchy for regular winter days. At church Sunday I saw 5 women wearing Fairisle sweaters. I should have worn the reindeer.
Torantogirl, these wide crops are such a great change. You might start with narrow ones.
Thank you, Mirjana. There is always yummy food at these meetings. I am looking forward to wearing my white booties but that will wait until next month. Maybe with my white wide crops.

OMG, Joy, the interplay of textures is so yummy. You are getting into subtley sexy with #7 and #8.

Shevia, that sweater is from a second hand shop. Runcarla, it must be the leather

Like the scarf , sweater combo

Please overlook the wild frizzy hair. It had not been styled yet after it was washed in the shower. It really needs a cut.

The jumper is really super, I love the detailing.

(Your hair looks very good to my eye - I’m envious that it looks so good without you having styled it!)

The trousers are great on you, that cut suits you so well.l personally like them best with the shorter black moto jacket.

Everything is good but blazer looking much better as compare to other pullovers. So I think you should wear a blazer over the sweater. Enjoy!!

Love it with the black leather jacket, if that’s warm enough. And I love your methods for scarf inside sweater neck to prevent itching. You look really badass and modern with that pattern mix going on.

Thank you. It sounds like a short jacket looks better than a long topper. That will work beautifully when it is a bit warmer or just being in the car going "from bubble to bubble" as my son calls it.
