Update. Need help with wide crops length

I bought these yellow wide crops at Nordstrom Rack as I have been wanting yellow jeans. I think they need shortening but am not sure after reading KM’s thoughts about the wide pants in Japan.
Photo#1 is full length on me. Photos 2&3 show a couple of lengths turned up. Should they be shortened? If so how much? Raw edge or hemmed?
Or should I return them and look for something else? They are BP brand
and between mid rise and high waisted on me. Please give me your thoughts on this.
Photos 4-6 are the yellow pants shortened. It is hard to see the actual length but it is st least 4” above my ankle bone. Does the length look ok? Wmorn with my old white flats and no belt. Bag is thrifted.

    I like these, Joy. A nice fitting flat front and wide, but not too wide. I THINK a raw hem and a little longer (by one inch?) than in pic #3. Will,defer to Angie, of course!

    I just love this style, and find it so interesting that an earlier poster said in Japan its all wide leg, how interesting.  I will say I usually like my wide crops a little longer than Angie's preferences, so somewhere between 2 and 3 would be my sweet spot.  This will be great for you!

    I love these pants on you  - great color.  I do think they need to be shortened and prefer the length in #3 and a real hem rather than a raw edge.

    Three inches above the ankle bone is good for wide crops. Cute pants.

    Shevia, I am getting a much needed haircut today and hope for enough time to run to Nordstrom’s with the wide crops for alteration. Will post photos but it will probably be at least a week out. I think I will have these properly hemmed rather than doing a chop job myself.

    With a bare foot, I like them long on you! Depends on footware, though, so take them up just a hair if you'll be wearing with competing footware.

    I actually like all the lengths, but my preference is 2,3,1. You have such lovely calves and ankles, I think you should show them off. And hem, not raw - I like raw hems, but think they limit versatility andwill eventually date.

    Those look great on you! I may dip my toe in the water with shortening a maxi skirt to the most flattering length I can find for my sun sensitive and less than dainty calves and see if I wear it. Then maybe on to wide crops!

    We will see that they look like when I get them back from the tailor in about a week. I am excited to wear them. I told him three inches above the ankle, so expect them to be more like #3.
