Catchup WIW Part 1

It has still been hot and humid in our area. Here are some recent outfits:
1: EF skirt from NAS, EF black linen top under EF long vest. Worn to a birthday lunch
2: Blush with pale grey. Worn shopping
3: EF skirt again with black vest. Same EF black assymetrical top as 1. Worn to church.
4: Ted Baker tee from NAS with denim skirt. Worn to a meeting
5-7: EF pale grey pants and tank top with Citron of Santa Monica silk tunic shown buttoned and open. Is this the wrong type of pattern for me to wear?
Please let me know what you like and what you don't and styling suggestions. I'm sorry about the quality of the photos. I tried to pick the least blurry.

You always are so stylish, joy! My faves from here is nr 1,3 (BL&W SO FAB!)and 4! :-)

Joy, you're so stylish! #1 and #4 are my favourite, but these are all pretty great.

#1 is classy, stylish, and beautiful Joy but #2 is my favorite.  I really like the low contrast and the detail like the curved hem and the rolled pant . Even though the "in" fit seems to be a bit more fitted, I still love the slightly looser draped fit and it is divine on you.  It is interesting that you can wear high and low contrast so well.

Oddly (for me) #4 is my favorite-- love the slightly stronger color and the otherwise simple nature.

Thank you so much for your help. I am wondering if the print in 5-7 or the last Find is not good on me. I have heard it said that prints should mirror one's body...angles for the angular, curves for the curvy, but I have also thought from my experience that a broadly curved pattern can trick the eye to see curves on a straight body. This piece has those big loose curves. Is it wrong for my rectangular shape?

I love 1-4 but am not keen on the print top. I think it is overwhelming on you.

I adore 1, it really is so elegant.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Kiwigal, to clarify, do you mean the print top in 4 or 5-7?

  • Greyscale replied 8 years ago

The look in #1 is so perfectly classy. A few years ago Eileen Fisher was doing a series of ads with actual customers as models - you'd be perfect.

  • Sal replied 8 years ago

Sorry Joy, I mean 5-7, I have a nasty bug and the brain is not working well. I love the top in 4

You are looking great Joy! I admire how you keep up with your wiw's. I love all iterations, but a shout out to 1 and 2 especially.

  • Lucy replied 8 years ago

You look great in each and every one. But #1 really took my breath away - simple, elegant, super stylish. LOVE!

I just love the EF skirt with the black top and vests - both versions. The blush and grey is also fantastic and love the bag with it. #4 is terrific too. Not sure about the last blouse - it seems a bit less fab than the rest.

    I'm loving #1, 2 & 4... the colours in #4 are spectacular!
All your WIWs are fantastic Joy and I really do enjoy them :)

How GORGEOUS are you in #1 and #3, Joy. Killer Elegant Knockout.

#2 and #4 are hip and fab too.

  • donnat replied 8 years ago

You have such a stylish and beautiful wardrobe. Love 1,3 and 5.

  • deb replied 8 years ago

    Wow, #1 is super!!!

Thank you all so much for your comments.
Kiwigal, thank you for clarifying. I have tried to make that tunic work for about 2 years and you may have helped me figure out why it isn't working. It overwhelms me.
Greyscale, what a sweet comment! It would be a dream to model Eileen Fisher clothes but Wouldn't be tall enough.
Diane, Lucy, and Deb, thanks for the kind thoughts about outfit 1.
Shevia, thank you for your great eye. That last top is on its way out.
Ankita, I'm so glad Angie pointed out that tee in 4 as a NAS pick.
Angie, I am beaming from ear to ear at getting a Killer Elegant Knockout from you!
Donnat, thank you for the kind words.

3 and 4 are really great.  You own the knee length skirt girl!

  • jackiec replied 8 years ago

You always look so great! I am loving #2 with the soft blush and grey combo. Truly my fav. But the rest are great too! That's a beautiful floral pink top on you also.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Denise, the length of that skirt was what sold it for me. No on wants to see old knees if it can be helped :)

Jackie, I'm sorry not to have had a better photo of #2. That outfit really feels like "me". I'm thrilled to have that pink floral tee in my closet too. It fills a need for more fluid tops and is cooler than most tees for hot weather.
