Cropped pants and tunic top

An outfit inspired by Angie's ensemble post today. I rarely wear such open shoes, but liked these with the outfit.
The last photo is to show the side slits of the tunic. In motion they seem to help leg length by revealing more leg. The jeans are my DIY frayed crops.
Tunic is an old silk Citron of Santa Monica piece. That I had been going to shorten until realizing that variety in lengths might be a good thing.
Shoes are older SE wedges that reminded me of Oakalas
Does this look ok?

I love the top. It reminds me of a Nehru jacket. It looks great on you.

I think it looks great! I'm impressed you did the hem of the jeans, they look professional.

That's quite a neat top - interesting colours and the outfit has a custom look to it :)  Of course it looks good - everything looks good on  you !

    Fabulous!

What a lovely outfit, Joy! I think that it works very well and and unpressed that the jeans hems are DIY.

You look fab, Joy. The pattern picks up the colour of your hair quite splendidly.

It looks more than ok! I love the shoes with the top.

Wow. I came back to find such enthusiasm for an outfit that felt good but I was afraid would look odd with silk mixed with rather distressed looking jeans. Thank you all for your comments.

Looks great! You did a very good DIY with those pants!

I think one reason we like it so much, Joy, is the one thing that concerned you-- the silk paired with the "distressed" jeans. :) it's great.

Thank you, Joyce and Brie.  It was fun to weld a seam ripper on those pants.  I'm tempted to do the same with a denim skirt.

Brie, thank you.  I'm so glad that the tunic looks ok with these crops.  It means the tunic can be worn more if it works with a casual or smart casual outfit.

That's a very pretty top.   I like the cropped pants and sandals with it.  You look lovely.

This pattern is beautiful on you; so cohesive with your hair! Love the whole outfit.

Abstract prints are my favorite -- they give drama, but still look sophisticated.  Great for Spring!

...you got everything right here....this is so "on trend" and yet so not trendy.....perfect!

    Slam dunk! Repeat often. :)

Lovely outfit Joy. The colours of the blouse really suit you. The open shoes look good too.
