Yesterday I tried another version of whiteout with the new DV booties for class and a ladies' evening meeting. This time the compliments flowed for the booties and whole outfit. I ended up not wearing the jacket in 3, but my warmer pink JCrew wool coat, and carried a grey/cream snake tote to class and Elliot Lucca grey snake clutch to the meeting. The open weave pullover has a 3/4 sleeve light grey Target tee under it. Your suggestions and comments are appreciated.

Thank you all for looking and taking time to comment. It helps to know if something is working or not. I did have one comment from an acquaintance when wearing this outfit. She said that I looked so stylish and she wondered if I lived on a ranch at some point or something because I often wear boots. Do I look like I'm dressing Western? I mumbled something about needing boots for my cold feet and had never lived on a ranch but am wondering what this comment is saying about my style.

As for your acquaintance, I have a feeling she probably isn't a big shopper or she would see the endless lines of boots and booties in the stores in KC. Nothing western about your style at all. Perhaps the combo of boots and belts together reads that way to her? For about a decade I was convinced that no one would ever tuck and belt again. Hee. How wrong I was!
