WIW: thanks to generous YLFabbers

1. These jeans are from dear Sandy. They have been such favorites that I save them for going out. Do the proportions of the outfit work here?
2/3. Kat posted the taupe jacket on the Exchange and I enjoyed pairing it with blush coated jeans and blush tee and bookending it with SE Pettys in putty.
I welcome your suggestions and comments as it enlightens me as to what is or is not working.

First outfit is beautiful and so is the second. The clutch totally makes the second outfit for me.

  • Neel replied 10 years ago

The cardigan (top) in the first outfit is too cute!  And love the soft tones of the second outfit!  I agree with Scarlet that the clutch makes the outfit!

Both of these outfits are lovely! I really like you in soft tones, but the brighter colours in 1 are so nice too!

  • Jjsloane replied 10 years ago

Both are so lovely on you. The jeans are amazing and the soft colors in #2 are so flattering on you. I love the proportions of both.

I think both outfits are spot on Joy. I love how you pulled all the colours together in  #1 and the proportions seem fine to me. Great jacket in  #2 and I agree that the clutch is fab. Yay for lovely fabbers!

Love reading about how the exchange benefits the fabbers. You looks wonderful Joy!

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

Both look terrific - great how you can do color and neutrals so beautifully. And great exchanging!

  • pil replied 10 years ago

Super outfits and super fabbers! Love the peppy pattern in 1 quiet tonal look of 2/3.

Thank you for your comments. Scarlet and Neel, that clutch seems to go with everything. It and another like it in fuchsia and brown are my only colorblocked items.
Ceit, Shevia, and Pil, I'd not realized how very different the color pallets are for these outfits until you pointed it out.
Jj and Diane, thank you for looking at the proportions. They are a challenge for me.
Glory, Pil, Shevia and Diane, Fabbers have beautiful hearts as well as style, don't they

Joy, I love your WIW wore posts. You have amazing style.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

I love both of these outfits, Joy. Both feel very current the way you are wearing them. I love you in the soft neutrals, but also like the jeans and the bright sweater. You really are an elegant eclectic.

That's a fab clutch. Where is it from?

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

What everyone else says - terrific outfits!  Love the jeans, especially love the clutch with the second outfit!

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

Thank you for the boost, Alecia.
Suz, I'm probably also an emotional dresser and need some eclectic going on :). I think the clutch is from Nordstrom Rack, their markdown area. I'll check the brand when I won't wake DH, who needed a nap after waking up super early.

    Such great stuff.

I love everything you post, but that first outfit and the jeans may as well be one of my favourite things on you ever. They look heavenly on you. Wear and enjoy - often.

You are such an inspiration.  On so many levels.

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

More terrific outfits for incomparable Joy. Sandy is such a fashion friend, isn't she? You are one chic lady.

  • kellygirl replied 10 years ago

You wear bold colors and neutral so well. How do you do it? I really love the modern graphic jacket in 1. So fun. Love the colorblock clutch in 2 too.

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

Amiable, we must have cross posted. Thank you!
Suz, the clutch is Elliot Lucca and a sister to my EL snake clutch of the same brand and style.
Ornella, I'm thrilled that you like the first outfit. The topper gets nearly donated but is fun especially for fall in its colors and weight.
Elizabeth, you have me blushing to be anyone's inspiration.
Angie, Sandy is a treasure. I hope we can meet in real life someday.
Kelly, YLF and especially Fabbers with their wonderful use of color have inspired me to try what I'd never have worn before.

  • karymk replied 10 years ago

Love them both! Amazing how you can look good in color and in the more neutrals.  I will have to try that.

  • Debbie replied 10 years ago

    You look amazing in both!

  • Debra replied 10 years ago

Both outfits are fantastic, you look very chic and I love that clutch :)

  • Thistle replied 10 years ago

These are all so lovely on you and fit effortlessly into your fabulous style!

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

Such wonderful "provenance" in these outfits --- and they're fab, too! Truly, you handle neutrals with such elegance. Love both looks.
