Inspired by Angie's blog post I pulled out a spring floral cotton napkin to wear as a scarf to tie together peach and cornflower blue with white flats and bag. Does this work? Is the "scarf" too napkin looking to wear this way? Are the colors of the outfit working together? Dare I wear this "scarf" out in public?

I would never peg this scarf as a napkin. Wear it proudly!

It looks great and could certainly be worn in public. Beautiful colours.

That's a great outfit, Joy. I like the colors and your "scarf" that really completes the outfit. Your wearing of napkins makes me giggle. You have some really wearable napkins that masquerade beautifully as scarves. Now, my napkins? Not so much!

The colours complement your outfit beautifully, Joy. I doubt anyone would guess your secret!

Thank you, all, I am wearing the napkin which I bought to wear as a scarf, so I am glad that it works. It looks more like a scarf if I wear it rolled, but today I wanted the print and colors to show. In summer I can soak it in cold water to wear as a casual necklace to keep cool.

It works fably! I love the "scarf" and love the colors together- soft and smooth and texture rich! I would like to find a "scarf" just like that actually.

What Traci said. :-)

Beautiful--I never would think "napkin", only: "What a mellow, interesting, and unusual color combination, and how well the scarf ties the colors together!"

Thank you, Donna, harmonica and tulle. I am glad that such stylish women feel that it is ok to wear the napkin :)

No one would know unless you told them! Even then it's adorable so big thumbs up from me. Perfectly suited to the outfit. Would be equally lovely with a white/silver/yellow/turquoise outfit.

I suddenly want to pull out all of my cloth napkins and "try them on." That. Is. Awesome. And I would have neve guessed that it wasn't a scarf. I really wish I knew you in real life. I have a feeling you are such great fun! :-)

Aida, yellow and turquoise are scarce in my wardrobe, but I will try to come up with something. Love your ideas.
LOL, Angie. Just call me QN ( Queen Napkin).
Sarah, I can just imagine you going through the linen drawers. We could get into some real trouble.
Krishnidoux, thank you. It was a happy accident to have had that napkin with my scarves.
Aquamarine, Traci is a clever girl. -

Oh yes... we could definitely get into trouble. We would be known for our "housewear chic" style.... :-)
