WIW: Skirt with tall boots

I wore this outfit s couple of times last week inspired by Angie's post but did not get a photo of the outfit. I wore sheer black stockings with it but the boots hid them. The skirt hits my lower knee. Suggestions for improvement or comments welcomed.

Wow, Joy.  By looking at the pieces, I am sure you looked fab.  The skirt has a fabulous print, your boots are gorgeous, and I like the necklace matching the twin set.

I love this style of pleated skirts, there’s something about the way they move that is so elegant. It looks a good outfit to my eye. The coat length looks like one in a recent post by Angie.

Woot!  I'm so happy to see the long flowing skirt back, particularly over boots.  It's practical and I love the bit of swish it creates, too!

Looks like you'd done your homework -- pairing a shorter sweater set with long skirt for the best proportions.  I think I spy some beigey-brown in the skirt.  I love the combination of red with brown or grey in boots and bag --- just for another option!

Beth Ann, you are right. There is beige-brown and light grey in the print of the skirt, as well as white/cream. More options for fun.
Jane, good eye on the coat. It is one of those that are a bit higher than knee length but covers the hips. The length also looks good with jeans and pants and works well sitting or driving.
Dianna, that twin set gets lots of wear together or as separates, especially in the fall. It is just the right weight. I also have an EF silk tank in the same color to wear under the cardi in warmer weather or under the other top for more warmth. I hope these pieces never wear out.

What a pretty skirt.  I love the colour combination in it, so so versatile.  Great twin set as well.  I bet this looked fab!

Would love to see a pic next time you wear it, Joy. I have a knife pleat skirt but when I wear it with flat boots I can't get the proportions right - would love to see it on you. I love that skirt by the way - it really sings and feels very you!

I'm sure this looked lovely on you. I love the red sweaters and the matching necklace.

I am sorry that I did not get a photo and may wesr it again this weekend. Thank you all for looking and commenting. It ( the skirt) did get compliments at a women's meeting. The top of the boots was covered by the skirt.
