WIW: Not quite Toffee, Tomato, White and Burgundy

I borrowed Angie's ensemble idea for Monday's outfit but my red top was a deeper red than tomato and the brown woven belt and pointy loafers were not toffee, but I enjoyed the combination anyway.
I started out with photo 1, the white blazer ( thrifted. I need to replace with something better but rarely use a white jacket other than my jean jacket). Temperatures rose to the mid 80's and the jacket became too warm. To keep the white, the denim vest was subbed.
Red sleeveless shell: EF
Burgundy skinny jeans: H&M
Denim vest: Old Navy
Blazer and loafers: thrifted
Belt: DH's
I wasn't completely happy with this outfit and would have preferred tomato and toffee pieces but thought it wasn't too bad. The top is redder than it looks on my screen, and the jeans not quite as dark. I'd love your comments on what works, what doesn't and what could/should be tweaked or changed.

Close enough, and super cute. I wouldn't change a thing on either look, Joy. Nice that you had a hot weather jacket to change in to. xo

I especially like it with the vest. Great loafers!

I'm with Angie - I think this works really well and it's a very flattering color combination on you.

I actually really love these colors as is.  Some might be the camera making the top and pants look more tonally close than in RL, but I like the subtle variations of the leather, red, and burgundy.   For myself I find tonal variations easier to pull off than the contrast of bright tomato with burgundy.

I agree with Rabbit. I love the colours to. I must see if I can try this formula too. I love it! You look great Joy!

Thank you for all your kind comments. I want to play more with this color combination when the weather gets cooler.
