This looks great on you, Joy! Both versions, with and without cardigan, look good and I wouldn't change a thing.

I like these looks because the colors all work together ... and I think you could also do the stripe and leopard without the plaid element.

Great Idea that works as the tones are similar.

Oh you did that. Made my maximum heart go boom boom

Thank you, Tanya, UmmLila, Tracey, and Ledonna. UmmLila, this striped tee mixes easily with other patterns. It has often been paired with a floral cardi and jacket. Wider stripes are harder to mix.
Ledonna, this outfit made me think of you. The tee is thrifted.

Fabulous layering and pattern mixing, Joy. The tones work well together. I would not change a thing. The outfit is terrific.

Maximal and fab, Joy. It works both ways.

Thank you, ElCee and Eliza. ElCee, the addition of the cardi kept me warm enough for early morning and the other layers were comfortable the rest of the day. So the outfit also met the weekly challenge too.

Cute mix Joy.

You really manage to look completely composed even dressing in at your most maximally. Impressive!

Thank you, Shedev and Shevia. I was surprised that DH did not object to the outfit.

Joy alright now. I would have scoped that bad boy up also. Haha really!
-
Joy replied 8 years ago
Ledonna, from now on this tee will be "bad boy"

Very maximal and nicely put together, unexpected, but it works!
-
RobinF replied 8 years ago
I like it, works together very well and looks casual but put together. Love it with the jeans and boots.

Super fun, and playful with the addition of the cardigan (excellent pattern mixing). You always get it exactly right, Joy!

Mirjana replied 8 years ago
Normally I don't like to much mix but I like your version, it's a fun I love with the cardigan, lovely.

I'm not a maximal person but I really like this outfit. The plaid and leopard print are very complimentary together.
-

Oh wow, this looks amazing! The colours and size of the patterns are perfect for maximal mixing.

Firecracker (Sharan) replied 8 years ago
That's a fun idea, and it works well. I think the moto boots are great, because they keep the look very casual, and I like the way they ground the look with a little toughness. I think I prefer the outfit without the cardi, not because of the pattern mix, but because I would like to see a bigger cardigan over the whole lot--more like a grandpa or cocoon style, for example.

Thank you, CocoCat, RobinF, Inge, Mirjana, SaraL, Elizabeth and Firecracker. It was fun to wear this maximal outfit and even better to hear that it looks OK. Firecracker, I need a few bigger cardigans. They can quickly overwhelm but this is a wardrobe area that needs some attention.

You know....I like this. I'd never think that all that would work together but it does. Definitely maximal. Well done. :) Extra credit for checking off your personal challenge too! ;)

Thank you, Bonnie and Lady. You are encouraging me to try more maximal outfits.
