WIW: Inspired by Sweatshirt Chic

Inspired by Angie’s blog post, here are versions of #1 and #3 from my closet.
#1/2: pastel cashmere thrifted hoodie with white jeans. This was my last wear for these white jeans. I was constantly having to pull them up. I wore this outfit with sparkly pink earrings.
#3-7: my closet version of #3 the Rocker version. The grey jeans look olive in some photos but they are a medium grey. I realize I should have rolled the cuffs to give them more texture showing the light underside. The sweatshirt is a very old one from Hard Rock Cafe, Maui. I am also wearing pearl earrings and a face mask/ bandana. The black leather blazer is Gap via thrift shop. The black faux crocodile print bag is Elliot Luca.
This is about it for my sweatshirts and hoodies. I did find an old plaid sweatshirt I bought to wear to the Highland games with a black and white check shirt under it.

Joy, these are wonderful sweatshirt chic outfits. I really like the blush and white on you. Too bad the jeans are done, but I hope you have replacements in the wings. The rocker look is superb, too. What a contrast, and it also looks great on you.

Sweet Ruth, have you tried using an invisibelt with the jeans?

Pink and white is SOOOO fabulous on you! Gorgeous with your great hair.

And look at you doing a fab interpretation of outfit #3 in the blog post! Lovely pearl earrings. Fun boots and bag too. You nailed it :)

Thank you for the encouragement, Firecracker and Angie. That is a good idea to try the invisibelt. It may be stretchy enough. I just had to move the meter I wear to a new spot. The new area is lower on the abdomen and more likely to be in the way.

Both are fab...the rocker chic vibe of the 2nd outfit is great, but that blushy pink with the white....wow, I think this is one of my all time favorite  Joy outfits.

Great looks! Love the soft pink and white look - light and uplifting. Rocker chic - for the evening!

Zip hoodie! My fave kind of hoodie! :)

Thank you, kkards. Slim cat, and Rachylou. It has been fun to wear some of these oldies again.

Both outfits are fab. Great job using older items in new ways.

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Thank you , Bonnie. I enjoy a mix of old and newer than sweatshirt is at least 30 years old.

You do a remarkable rocker chic! Pink and white are beautiful on you too.

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Thank you. Shevia. The rocker outfit feels a bit like armor during these times. It is a power outfit for me, but I really want the soft feminine colors for spring tomorrow. Today felt more like winter with lots of snow and heavy clouds

You look SO chic and pretty in the light outfit (#1 and #2)!

Such good outfits, I love both versions. Pastel cashmere thrifted hood - wow! that was a good find!

This is the invisible belt I like to use:

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Thank you for your comments, The Cat, Jane and Angie. Angie I have that belt in white. Now I need to find it. It was not handing with my other belts.

  • Lucy replied 4 years ago

I love this! You look particularly beautiful in the pink, but I love the variety of the two looks!

  • nemosmom replied 4 years ago

Both are great - and that blush is such a pretty color on you!

  • Joy replied 4 years ago

Thank you , Lucy and nemosmom, for liking the blush. I like the color but have never been confident that I should wear it.
