WIW: in the heat

It's been a hot summer week. These are pieces I have shown you before, I hope remixed some.
1. I paired brown with citron this time. The leopard top is Michael Kors over Target tank and jeans. The cheetah Fossil bag and Antonio Melanie sandals are thrifted.
2. This is the Halogen seamed pencil skirt with the hem let out, Sandra Ingrish blouse, Target belt and Dr Scholls flats.
3. San, if you see this, these are the Boden shorts you sent me. Dog graphic top and belt are thrifted; Aerosoles sandals.
4. Classics Entiere silk top with Citron brand silk capris, rolled up; Alex Marie sandals, MK watch and consignment bangle
5. Liz Claiborne denim skirt with Trove oversized silky tee, Dr. Scholls flats, belt from Dillard's. This skirt is up for edit. It is cool and breezy and casual for hot weather but feels too full and maybe too young. I have a denim pencil skirt. Should I let this one go?
I appreciate you comments and suggestions, especially about anything that you like or is not working and alternative styling ideas.

Oh, gasping for air....I love your tee in #3 so perfect with the shorts.  I just can't get over dogs. You look great in all but really love 1 and 3.

You look great in all these but I love 3 and 4.  So cool and summery looking.

The Doggie tee!!! It's of your fur baby, Maddie!!! Priceless. I want a Yorkie tee like that. Where did you find it, Joy? KILLER outfit :)

#4 is KILLER too! Wow. You do casual easy elegance so well. Just as gorgeous in #1!

Adore the animal print with the citron in the first outfit; your AMAZING doggie tee and shorts outfit (is it ok for me to say you look hot in this?); the gorgeous drape of the citron top in outfit #4.

I'm afraid I'm not feeling much love for the denim skirt. I will preface it by saying I have a poison eye for that particular style when in denim.

Joy, I love #1, 2 and 3.  you look so sharp! #3 stands out for me as I am not a fan of T-shirts in general, but I take my hat off for this one of yours -  I love the T-shirt's slanty sleeves and drapy fabric, and the whole look in this pic is exceptional. Re #5, it's a bit hard to tell from the side-on view, but the fabric seems a bit limp in relation to the T-shirt, it doesn't quite seem to have the sharp lines and shape that serve you so well with the amazing pencil skirt in #2 . I think something with crisper lines might work even better, tuning in to your cool bob which goes really well with the linear features in the other pics.

I do love that doggie tee. Angie, it is from the Goodwill! I even love the fit on this tee. I'm washing it by hand to extend its life.
Shannon, I think that denim skirt is going to a new home. I love to here that I look hot :)
Is the belt in #2 looking strange? I bought it long for low jeans and had to shorten it for the skirt. Maybe a different belt that is the right length would save this outfit?

lyrebirdgully, thank you for your thoughts and helping to confirm that it's time to retire the denim skirt. I'd not thought of my bob looking best with crisp lines, but it makes sense. The photos did not load in order and I had my hair trimmed after that photo. In the other pictures it is shorter.

I love that doggie tee in #3! Swooning here - and I might need one of those famous YLF crash helmets that everyone's going on about. Also love #4 ...

You look amazing in all of these - just that #3 and #4 are knock-it-out-of-the- park territory. Your #4 outfit is fabulous - you've manged to find a way to dress up summer casual in a trendy, stylish way.

I love the shorts in #3 too - and speaking of San - I miss her!

Agghhh...I need a doggie tee too! I keep thinking I shouldn't wear graphic tees, but then - if there's a doggie involved, it's a whole different story - right?

    :)

Especially if the doggie looks just like your doggie, who was a naughty girl today climbing onto the patio table to help herself to DH's sandwich while he was moving the sprinkler. She can look so cute when she knows she did something naughty
