WIW for the first days of ChristiniaF’s No Jeans Challenge

This challenge would be easier if the weather would warm up. The first outfit is from my experiment with navy and black. I wore black Ponte EF pants, a print NYDJ’s top, slip-on navy sneakers with black soles and a canvas navy small bag in a floral print and large Carpisa tote that is black on one side and navy on the other. Both bags were gifts. The usual COVID hair.
The second photo features some old pull on taupe pants and a Jolie silk Boho top, a small taupe leather crossbody bag. The booties are Blondo
The third outfit is a repeat of a recent one with EF bone pull on pants and old EF cotton knit hoody.
You are seeing some boho tops that I plan to wear during the summer. Do they look ok? How about the pants? Fit ok?

Looks fantastic to me! I really like the navy sneakers with black soles. The boho top is marvelous.

    Pretty darn smashing! :)

Though I’m a big fan of your light combinations, #1/2/3 are my favourites this time ‘round.  Your hair looks twice as long as your normal ‘do.  I’m liking the length.  How do you feel about it?

Fab looks! I'm crushing on the #1 outfit - the printed top and printed small bag are so perfect together ( love the jewelry! ).
The outfit #2 has softer look - great earth colors!

  • Bonnie replied 2 years ago

Really nice set of outfits. My favorites are #2 and #3. Your hair looks great this length.

A nice start to the challenge, Joy! I'm participating too. The navy and black outfit is striking on you with the wavy print top setting off your sleek hair. Your boho top in the second outfit has a very sophisticated look to me. I like how you've paired it with classic pieces that let the ornate print shine. The third outfit looks cozy and elegant. I was wearing a warm sweater today, too, so I hear you and being ready for warmer weather.

I don't know if I would participate in this challenge.  I love jeans so much but I do love all your styles here especially the first one with the black ponte pants. Elegant outfit and the dark colours highlight your beautiful hair.

I love all these outfits! The first one is stunning! I especially love the jewelry you chose here. The leaf is beautiful with the top. And what a great mix of patterns. I also like the other two a lot. It’s like you’re going from the “strongest” to the softest here and all are great in their own way. The boho top looks very nice.

Joy, wonderful as usual, all outfits are great, you styled them like a pro. I especially love #1-3, perfect.

  • Liesbeth replied 2 years ago

I love the pattern and texture mix in the first outfit! You show us how it's done!

  • Star replied 2 years ago

All fabulous.  1 is my favorite.  Love the navy and black with your hair.

  • Minaminu replied 2 years ago

very elegant outfits! the first one is gorgeous on you :)

  • Janet replied 2 years ago

It’s going to get up to 92 today — I’ll send that your way! ;-)

All of these look great, but I especially love that top in 1. You wear boho lite really well. And your hair has gotten so long! But I think it looks wonderful.

  • Bijou replied 2 years ago

You look stunning in all of these, I especially like the high contrast of outfit #1 with your beautiful hair. You always wear the best accessories too.

  • kkards replied 2 years ago

Wow, i love the taupe sailor pants and that top looks like it was made for those pants! And how great it that off white/bone outfit for the days that you want to feel more light and springy  but the weather is cold.

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you all for the uplifting compliments. We are having a long stretch of cold spring. The trees are just beginning to get leaves and tulips are blooming. The. mountains had a snow storm and we have cloudy skies and intermittent rain. Gardening is just beginning but the soil is still cold.
KKards, l collected some cotton and linen sweaters in pastel colors for this season and am wearing long sleeved shirts for the first time in years.
Janet, temperatures around 90 seem far away.. I have many summer things I really like that rarely are worn here, a combination of cooler dry summers and feeling cold more post menopause. So those sweaters see lots of wear. They are really never put away.
Today we start dog sitting a greyhound while the rest of his family go camping. There is also little grandson’s soccer game, so very casual. I miss jeans and am not sure what to wear. It needs to be able to allow me to be outside a lot.

You are rocking the challenge! Looking fab :)

I particularly like the first outfit. The pattern is quite magical with your gorgeous long silver hair!

  • nemosmom replied 2 years ago

Wow Joy, you look great as always! I love how you are so mindful about the combos you wear - you look super polished, even for casual occasions.

  • Christina F. replied 2 years ago

Brava! I love that first blouse in particular. You look great in all these despite it being an additional challenge for you. My weather has warmed up A LOT.

  • ChristelJ replied 2 years ago

So lovely, all of them. My fave is the first outfit but big fan of the boho top too. You hair is stunning.

  • replied 2 years ago

Love the boho blouse and your floral bag especially! Come visit if you want warm weather :)

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you all for your helpful comments,
That first blouse is a keeper and quite comfortable e en without a topper that day. The floral bag is a gift from DS1 in Japan. He is packing to. He is packing to move to Osaka this coming week. A new neighborhood to explore. Today was cool so I ended up wearing a quilted jacket all day.
Below is today’s outfit. The pants are a K/R black and white houndstooth check and may be too short to wear full length. What do you think?
The top is a black tee with small shoulder pads. I think I like it. What do you think? The shoes are black Crocs with thin socks for walking through wet grass at the soccer game. The floral jacket is about a couple years old and a bomber style. I value your options and styling ideas.

  • Jaime replied 2 years ago

All three look great and are worth repeating. #1 is especially good!

  • Cardiff girl replied 2 years ago

It really is a challenge to go without jeans in the cold weather, much easier in summer l feel . I paticularly like outfit #1, it is a very youthful look on you.

  • Joy replied 2 years ago

Thank you, Christina and Shevia. $hevia, I am happy that you think the outfits are worth repeating.
Christina, yes, this challenge would be easier in summer. I am sized out of most winter pull on pants (most available in plus sizes only) and my sweater dresses are already getting a workout. I am going to try a sleeveless dress today with a topper to see if it might be warm enough. Bare legs get too cold so nude nylons are needed, which restrict activities to keep them from snags and runs.

  • Debbie replied 2 years ago

Joy your hair looks amazing. Will you keep the longer length?

All of your outfits are great. I love the boho lite look especially. I hope it warms up a little.
