WIW: Casual Layers with Bling, my way

I had to wait for the weather to cool down to try this ensemble. Instead of a plaid shirt as jacket, I decided to try a plaid jacket that I wear as a shirt. My bling pearls today are not white as I liked the colors in these with the outfit. Jeans are dark burgundy although they look black. Boots are black as it is even hard to find black to fit my calves. These are from 2014 NAS.
Does this version look ok? Suggestions and comments welcomed.

You should do bling more often!

This is a wonderful interpretation, Joy.  That jacket is great, and  the bling is awesome.

This is awesome! It's a nice mix of patterns and colors and it's interesting. This has an edge to it that I love, without being off-putting. And the necklaces are a nice touch. I think you look amazing!

Adorable. Nice to see jeans tucked into tall boots again.

I love the plaid, the stripes, and the pearls. You look great!

Thank you all for the kind comments. The outfit is rather maximal with pattern mixing of stripes, plaid and the leopard bag plus multiple necklaces and jeans tucked into tall boots.
I am also getting used to a shorter than usual haircut after trying a new stylist...one of the hardest things about moving.

Love this Joy - great colors and patterns and to me it's just the right amount of bling.

This looks more than OK, it looks fab. I love the necklace and the plaid jacket. You look great in these darker colors and the lighter stripe in your tee goes well with your hair.

Way to do maximal! Looks great. The necklace is really dramatic with the prints.

I sure like it! I love your plaid jacket. Plaid and stripes are such a fun combination, and the necklace adds a whole 'nother dimension. Good job making the ensemble work for your own taste!

You do you, so beautifully! Really love the burgundy as neutral here.

Are those NYDJ jeans? The find link isn't working on this device. Recently introduced MIL to NYDJ, and she's smitten!

I really love NYDJ, but the ones that I am wearing are older and from H &M. They are really too low rise to be comfortable and were an experiment for the color. Now I would invest more in burgundy jeans because I wear them often. This shade is very dark. They are quite skinny but most skinny jeans look like straights on me

love the monochromatic color palette. The burgundy plaid jacket looks awesome. The whole outfit with the accessories looks very chic.
