My personal August Challenge this week is to wear soft ( none denim or twill) pants. Today I used Angie's latest ensemble as inspiration to shop my closet. I have burgundy jeans but it is still too hot for jeans. Instead, I started with last year's Old Navy linen pants, a Target blush tank under an EF blush cardigan, blush wedge sandals and a burgundy glazed leather bag. The sandals did not stay on very long but I liked the look.
What do you think? Does this wash me out. The cardigan is several years old. Does it still look ok? How about the volume on both top and bottom? I'd appreciate your thoughts. Repeat or no repeat?

You do rock deeper colors, but this cool blush really works. It's " my " blush!
The burgundy bag is great with it. The burgundy jeans should be swell when weather cools off. -

You look real pretty in blush, Joy! The soft colour is so summery and feminine and goes very well with your skin and hair.
The cardigan looks good, the proportions are just right to my eye, the bag adds a nice bold accent to the otherwise soft, pastel outfit, and those sandals look lovely. YLF!

I love this soft shade on you. The addition of the scarf frames your face, making this not wash you out.

I really like it.
I think the volume is good (not overly voluminous, if that's what you were getting at).
I can't tell whether this colour washes you about because the lighting is so warm in the picture. Anyway, in the picture, it doesn't wash you out. It looks very pretty.
I like the addition of the deep red bag. I like the contrast of the shininess of it against the softer background of your clothes.My favourite part is the sandals. I just love those! I'm sorry to hear that you can't wear them for long.

Lisa, I am veering toward soft colors, especially as i never wore them when I was younger.
Smittie, I would not have thought to use the dark bag if it were not for Angie's ensemble. The sandals are actually quite comfortable. I'm just not supposed to wear them because of diabetes. I still do wear them for short periods when I will be on pavement and floors.

Tracey, I forgot about mentioning the scarf. It is a favorite hand-dyed and bought from the artist.
