Based on Angies blog ideas of ways to wear black pants for business, I tried this one (#1) casually with black jeans. I used a black and white dotty scarf for the blouse, snake booties and clutch bag. Maybe not for business, but does this work?

I think it would work for business :) The jeans look more like trousers to me, and I'd be happy to see snake boots in the office for a change!

Suntiger, the jeans are a black Ponte fabric in a jean style, so not denim. I enjoyed wearing these booties with the black outfit and pattern mix with the scarf.

Thank you, Opaline, Brooklyn and kellygirl. A lighter scarf would bring more light and contrast to the outfit. At first I grabbed a scarf that is white with black dots but the one I am wearing was chosen because it reminded me more of the polkadot blouse in Angie's example. I suspect my best scarf here would be a white/ black/ grey chiffon It is lighter overall but would still pattern mix with the shoes.
