I have to find those sneakers to try.
My eye is still warming up to this, so I don't have any insight. Just looking and learning. :-)

Well, right off the bat, I adore those sneakers. You get a 10 out 10.
The rest of the photos were too dark for me to comment. But I am sure you looked fabulous. You ALWAYS look fabulous.

You look great and my favorite is #5

How come Bonnie can see the photos and I can't? Is it a computer setting?

I really like the second outfit. The color scheme is great for you, and you look hip.

Thank you! Minimalist and Sterling, the sneakers are a couple of years old but the metallic finish has stayed well despite heavy wear. They are extremely comfortable.
Sterling, I lightened the photos but really need to figure out a better way to take photos. The navy pea coat details in the last photos barely show up.
Bonnie and JAileen, that tee in 5 is a favorite, a thrifted Fender guitar tee. The neckline is a bit low for me. Does it look too low? I am wearing it with EF bomber jacket and same fabric pants, a set that has gone into lots of carry-on luggage. Perfect for travel any place, any time of year.

I like these versions, Joy! Fun pattern mixing in the first one, and I like the metallic sneakers and bag. The second one is more streamlined looking, a look I also like. I think I would probably leave out the necklace, to let the graphic shine. Or maybe, as you were wondering, the necklace a little higher would be more appealing with the graphic in the tee. Nicely done all around!

Thank you, Firecracker. Great advice. I would love to figure out how to successfully incorporate one or more of my old Hard Rock Cafe guitar pins into an outfit with the tee, but can't figure out how to do it.

An unexpected take - a patterned jacket! That is very clever!

Not too old at all, you look super.

Wonderful like always, very nice pattern mix in #1, I like it. I can't see good next combination.. Great metallic shoes and bag.

Love the car T-shirt - really charming. Great styling with the beautiful jacket, the metallic bags and shoes, and the light trousers bookending your hair. Stylish lady!

I really love the second outfit, Joy.

Fun outfit! Definitely not too old for for this look. Another fan of the sneakers.

I like the first outfit better without the jacket due to the proportion of jacket and tee. In the pics the top looks a bit too long to the crop of the jacket. I also love the shoes. The second outfit proportion looks spot on. And I like, as always, the details you include to make interesting outfits.

I'm always amazed by creativity and originality you display in your outfits. This looks fun! I'm not sure about the jacket in your first outfit (a bit short), but the T-shirt looks fab on you. Love the rolled-up trousers as well. Bag and shoes are perfect, too.
The second outfit is completely on point and I wouldn't change a thing. I especially like the jewelry, which acts as a focal point and also adds rock-style glam to the look. It also works great with your hair. Very nice.

You are definitely not too old -- and I needed your example to look for an opportunity to try on my own (although the only graphic tee I have is a Jayhawk!).
I don't think the jacket in #1 is too short -- you could go for less contrast with the bottoms, if this bothers you, but I don't think it's an issue at all.
I agree with Firecracker that the necklace might work even better higher. The metallic bag is a maximal touch, but it completely harmonizes with everything, so it works.
Hope you wear graphic tees a lot this season!

Well I voted a big YAY! :)
I love the second outfit especially, pic#5.

Thank you each for taking time to look and comment. It means so much! I will try a shorter necklace with the Fender shirt. I feel like I need something to at least distract from the lowness of the neckline. The same pendant can be worn on a black leather cord that is shorter.
A special thank you for those who addressed the short jacket in the first outfit. It felt too short but the day was warm enough to not need the jacket except morning before 10 and evening after 6. I could easily wear the same tee and jeans with a jean jacket or longer black blazer.

Joy these are fab yet sophisticated. I feel like i need to check my wadrobe foy graphic t-shirts or i need to upgrade.
-
Joy replied 7 years ago
Ledonna, I know what you mean. Now, when choosing a graphic tee, it has to look interesting peeking out from under a jacket. I also want one that does not cling to " love handles"

I love #5. You are not too old at all. I like the first jacket but it seems a little too cropped with the longer tee. (I do this all the time and then realize my mistake if I take a picture so I may be projecting.)

Joy replied 7 years ago
Thank you, Shevia. The proportions looked off to me with the first jacket but I am bad at proportions and need help getting them right.
