White Jeans Outfit #1 and some last festive outfits

The first outfit (1) is a take on the first white jean outfit in the blog using cognac rather than black. Jeans are not a high enough rise. I forgot to show the olive parka over it all.
Second outfit (2/3) from the last week in December is similar except with silver and taupe velvet with white jeans.
I was not feeling well that last week and some days basically stayed in bed.
The next outfit is almost a column of black with Kut black/grey plaid jeans (4-6). Not shown is a black furry vest added for warmth.
7/8 is another casual silver outfit.
9-11 is a silvery velvet NAS top with white jeans. When more warmth was needed, I added a lavender cardigan as the silvery top has pinkish undertones.
12 is yesterday’s shopping outfit of black Hoxton step hem jeans, a winter floral multimedia sweatshirt and taupe pleather jacket.
Thank you for looking and for any comments or suggestions you may have.

Joy, these are super outfits. I love the white jeans with the cognac. And also I like 7 with the tonal colours. They are so pretty against your hair and skin. I am pleased you are feeling better.

I have missed your outfits Joy! Happy New Year! I am sorry you felt ill. I think my fave here is actually the column of black, but partly because the necklace is so gorgeous.
The only outfit question I have is the black ponte pants. They are kind of wrinkly on the thighs? And also something going on with the hem- is it stepped? I'm not 100% sure on these pants but please debate with me on it!

Wow! You rock those silver jeans in 7/8!

Joy, great to see your wiws. My favorites are 2/3, 4/5/6, and also 12.
Sorry to hear you’ve been sick.

Joy I am glad you are feeling better and I love your festive outfits! The white and cognac is a dreamy combination. The style of the jacket in #2,3 is beautiful on you. Your necklace is indeed a blend of sparkle and color and you in silver jeans! My favorite! I think you look fantastic!

Joy, hope you are feeling better...
you look great in all these outfits, but must say that #2/3 is just WOW fab!

Gorgeous, Joy! These are great all the way around but my absolute fave is the silver/taupe outfit. What a glorious and harmonious combination! LOVE!

Thank you all for your comments. Jenni, I took another look at the black outfit and realized that the pants are not my black ponte but the Hoxton step hem jeans from NAS. They are sized up to not be too fitted but I think the wrinkles you see are because the grey suede loafers push up the jean legs. Maybe they need to be shortened or worn with different shoes.
I also wore several repeat festive outfits...the red sweater dress for Christmas Day with the red sequined scarf, the beaded black skirt and black turtleneck sweater for Chhistmas Eve, and black jeans with black braided leather side stripes with a black sparkly sweater and sparkly earrings.

Joy, I love seeing your outfits. I love 2/3 and 7/8, especially. Aren’t those silver pants the creepy guy magnets? I’d be careful wearing them, you look so fab.

Wonderful outfits, Joy. I love the way you mix pale neutrals and metallics— it’s so sophisticated. (Then again, I also love that dramatic column of dark on you too!)

Cool mix of dainty necklace with statement rhinestones in #6. I’ve never thought to do something like that but I’m going to try it!

Oh sweet, Joy. I hope you’re feeling better. Sending feel good energy.

You wear whites with any colour really well. The almost column of black looks great too. Fab bling. My fave is #12. Great fit and proportions.

Joy, may I suggest an edit and review of your bottoms when you’re up to it. The rises and fits of some of your pants and jeans are off and could be passed on. How does that sound?

  • Mirjana replied 5 years ago

First, Joy I hope you are feeling better. I especially like no 2 and no 7. The column of back is also lovely with the beautiful necklace.

Thank you for your comments. I was feeling better when I got up but we are catching everything our grandkids get. The latest is stomach flu.
JAileen, those were my metallic blue jeans...real gizzer magnets. They fitted tighter and have left the closet.
Angie, I heartily agree about the jeans fit. I am slowly hoping to replace the low rise ones. The cold weather and lots of layers discourages shopping trips and try ons but I hear you. New jeans for 2019!

Joy, you look elegantly festive in all of these. I love the sparkly top outfit in 2/3 and the silvery one in 7/8. I'm so sorry you've been feeling unwell and hoping that you are doing better. Wishing you a healthy and joyful new year!

By the way, don't know if you saw my note about the BR knit -- just wanted you to know that I got the XS, not the small. I don't think the S would have been longer and it would have been much too big.

  • Joy replied 5 years ago

Suz, thank you for alerting me to the size of that sweater dress. I will try the XS. I wish the local mall stores were better stocked. It means much more on-line ordering than I am used to. They all say, "go online" which is annoying *rant*
