White Jean Pencil and Sweatshirt

Most of my skirts are pencils but I have very few sweat shirts and they are not traditional. I did pair a white denim pencil with a soft Joie sweatshirt, wanting to try this outfit. It was easy to wear, so much so that I may look for another sweatshirt. Most of the day was too cold for the skirt, so the sweatshirt was worn with white jeans, keeping everything else the same.
The skirt / sweatshirt pairing appeals to my dressy style with a casual life.
I will add a photo from my phone soon.

Great rendition of the pencil skirt with sweatshirt - I esp. love the colors and soft "feel". Looks just as nice with the pants too!

I LOVE THIS OUTFIT.   That is all.

No, that isn't all.   You look fab in these colors, and I love that it's kind of this bridge between winter and spring.

We must have cross posted, La Belle. Thank you. Yes, I bought this sweatshirt as a cold spring piece but it can be worn nearly year round, depending on layering.

Gorgeous. The bright white bottoms make this look crisp and sophisticated and really make the metallic accessories pop.

That's a great look on you. It's nice with the skirt and pants and, if I were you, I'd make that a go to look. As someone else pointed out, it's a perfect winter/spring transition outfit.  Well done!

Thank you all for your comments.
Suz, Angie is the queen of white. Sterling, I would love to see your version! I wondered about the silver sneakers with this outfit. I guess it was the right choice. Thank you, those who pointed that out.

.... well, my version is a ways off.  I am missing many of the key elements.  Laughing at myself.

  • Brooklyn replied 10 months ago

Really, really lovely. Those colours are great on you.

  • Mainelady replied 10 months ago

Joy, I love this! Your sweatshirt looks great with the skirt and the jeans and the pearls are the perfect accessory!

  • bonnie replied 10 months ago

    Super cute outfit.

  • Joy replied 10 months ago

Thank you for the outfit affirmation. I should try more something like this, if I could find the pieces. It would be especially fun to mix patterns, but black/white houndstooth or dark floral with a leopard tube skirt is just too hectic.

  • karen13 replied 10 months ago

This looks wonderful in both versions. The sweatshirt is gorgeous and the sneakers/pearls are the perfect finishing touch

  • shevia replied 10 months ago

I especially like it with the white skirt.

  • Firecracker replied 10 months ago

Both outfits are great, Joy. I especially like your skirt version, as it's so fresh. I love the looks with those pewter sneakers, and what a pretty sweatshirt!

  • jussie replied 10 months ago

I also love this one. I think because
    1) your hair is so tidy and well kept (as always)
    2) the delicate print and colours on the top are pretty
    3) the skirt looks good quality/well cut
    4) the sneakers make the whole thing more funky, and are a very slight juxtaposition to the delicate ness of the pearls/floral/white, and juxtaposition always gives an outfit that something special :)

I love your take on the sweatshirt - pencil skirt formula! So sweet and fresh. You look beautiful!

  • lyn67 replied 10 months ago

    I. JUST. LOVED. THESE! White with the subtle greys (&monochromatic florals!) +metalic(but flat!)shoes, pearls and silver hair!!!!! OMG, heaven on earth to my eyes!

  • Inge replied 10 months ago

This looks amazing, Joy!! The grey background of the sweatshirt, the silver metallic sneakers, your beautiful pearls, they all work beautifully with the white denim skirt/jeans and your amazing hair

  • lisa p replied 10 months ago

I have this top too, and never really got into wearing it. It is SO soft and pretty, but it always seemed just a fraction too short for comfort. I love the way you've styled it here. Very pretty!
