Wearing white to blend in with the snow

I thought I'd try to link to Angie's post today with my WIW because it inspired me to pull out the cream jeans. This for a very cold day with lots of snow on the ground.
Jeans: BR
Pullover: Gap
Vest: Cache (thrifted)
Boots: SE pythons over cream Smart Wool socks
Scarf: Target cashmere
Belt: Nordstrom Rack
Is this too OTT? Is the hoody puffer vest too young for a senior citizen? This is this year's Gap sweater. Does it look too short here? I welcome your opinions and suggestions for improvement.
1/2 with scarf; 3 is without. I ended up needing it indoors for warmth.

Joy, I think this outfit is just lovely.  The vest is fine, and for the record I don't think of you as a senior citizen :)  Just a very elegant lady.  I personally wouldn't mind the sweater being a tad longer but this is the current length and it works just great (and you don't have a tummy to hide like I do). Just gorgeous.

Thank you for being so kind, Deborah. Last years Gap chunky pullover is longer but in the laundry. I will have to try it.

This outfit is awesome Joy!!   Not at all OTT and the vest is perfect.

    Lovely Joy!
It is not so much a 'Hoodie' as a hooded jacket to my eye and looks great.

Joy, this is cream-on-cream perfection! Great fit and beautiful textures! I wished I looked like this when I hit the snow fields! Hmmm...... must take notes.....

You look wonderful Joy. Those boots with their hint of pewter are a magical key that unlocks the beauty of the creamy whites.

You look great in the whites and I don't notice anything looking too short of inappropriate at all.

Joy, you are a vision in these shades. I think the fur trim on the hood is esp. fun and luxe. Nothing inappropriate to my eye just a fantastic whiteout look the compliments your skin and hair beautifully.

I think this look is very you. You look divine.

This looks so wonderful with your coloring, and not too young at all! I love how you incorporated so many different textures to keep things interesting.

I love your Winter Whiteout ensemble. The puffer vest is adorable! (Not too young -- just fun and on trend). You look lovely in cream.

I love this!  It is a fun look and has nothing to do with S-C.  You look great and totally appropriate.  Your hair color goes right along with the theme!  Perfect!
