Today’s Gold & Black outfit and a few other festive casuals for December

The blogger’s outfit that Inge posted today reminded me of a favorite for this time of year. It is an outfit that I wear often in December. My pants are gold metallic fabric but not sequins. They are black on the underside so I like to wear them with black. I do not have a bag anything g like the one that the blogger is using. On my screen the black top and topper look more like a deep navy blue. I wonder if navy would also work with the gold pants. I would certainly wear this to a casual get-together or even to open gifts when one is on the floor with little ones who need help with ties and packaging. I would add gold sparkly jewelry and my bag would probably be gold metallic. The last few photos show a similar outfit in silver, which could be worn with black, white or grey.

7/8: red, with puffer vest. Which bag do you prefer?

    I prefer the bag in #7, but both are good.

    Angie, you are always so gratitude. I can’t wait to try navy with the gold pants for a way to change it. Sorry about the long shapeless Covid hair.

    Gold pants are spectacular! Snow queen essence with the white outfit. Super cool hair. Space age vibe with the silver ensemble. Great fun!

    Thank you, JAileen, slim cat, Shevia, and Runcarla. I like to dress in tonal white and/or silver, so I do feel like a snow queen. Especially with snowflake jewelry.
    Lisa, Runcarla, and JAileen, not being able to wash my hair with shampoo is a mixed blessing. I use cream rinse instead which also helps the hair lie smoothly without static in our very dry air. The trade off is loss of body. I am so glad you like it and that it does not look too witchy.

    The metallics are just gorgeous on you, Joy. You look so pretty in all. Your gold pants remind me of my metallic BR pants I got last year--must get those into rotation soon!

    Kellygirl, thank you, and yes, this is the best time to wear those metallics. Get yours into rotation. But watch out for the old geezers they attract and who want to chat. A simple neutral top is all you need.

    Wow wow wow! I expected something great when I looked at the photos, but this is fabulous and gives me some hope. 


    I really like the way you have styled the pants, but when I 
    looked at the “snow princess” outfit was struck with awe. Then came the red, and I always love red. The last look is so chic. 

    Sorry for the gushing, but Joy, you look wonderful. It’s a struggle to stay upbeat these days. You are inspirational. And I love your hair.

    All of these are so festive!!  Both bags are great, but I like 7 slightly more, because of how the light stripe echoes your hair.

    Oh WOW Joy!! Your gold and silver outfits look absolutely amazing!! Very festive, lots of visual interest and fun sparkle without being over the top. Love them both equally!
    Gorgeous red dress too. I think I like that outfit best with the first bag because it adds a bit of pattern and contrasting colour to the look.
