Summer Olive and White with Black

When I saw Angie's ensemble post last week I could hardly wait to try it. I usually wear these olive utility pants with black or tomato red. I added the black utility vest for a third piece and for some added warmth for early morning.
The pants are from Target last year. White linen top is an old EF piece. ( Find is similar). Shoes and bag are old favorites. Vest was thrifted.

Love the outfit both ways but the vest really adds such a nice bit of punch. You look great!

Lovely outfit Joy I especially like shoes and bag how complements, beautiful as always ,so chic.

I like it a lot - I think I prefer it without the vest as I like more white and feel like the bag and shoes add just enough black.

I am enjoying this outfit with and without the vest. Little grandson discovered the zippers on the vest.

    KILLER

Thank you for your enthusiasm for this outfit. Angie, that is a huge boost! Before YLF, I thought I was too old for utility pants.

A great interpretation on the olive and white look.  Every now and then you just find a gem from Target, right?  Those pants are lovely on you!

You look very elegant, Joy. I'm new here & looking around, noticed some of your previous outfits also, you display such sharp and classy style.

  • Joy replied 6 years ago

Marina, welcome. Thank you for your kind words.
Lisa, yes, sometimes Target has some gems. At the time I also bought the matching vest but the wise Fabbers did not feel it and the vest was returned. ( it was too long for me and overwhelmed). I do wish I had bought the same pants in black, which were available at the time, but I had similar black silk Jolie pants. I like the fit of the Target ones more.

Simply chic! Never too old to wear utility pants ;)

  • Joy replied 6 years ago

Thank you, lozz_oz. I'm thrilled that you approve. They are a nice change from jeans for a casual lifestyle.

Super outfit Joy! Great bag and shoes also.

Joy, you are such an inspiration! I really like the look with the vest added.

Thank you, Shevia and Runcarla. I'm glad such stylish lasses approve the outfit. I often have doubts and your comments help so much.

This is one of my favorite outfits of yours of all time!!!   It is simple in its elegance, but is flawlessly executed.

BTW, I'm planning on buying that exact EF top should I find it on sale at the end of the season.

  • JAileen replied 6 years ago

Really nice! I especially like it with the black vest.

  • Chris987 replied 6 years ago

..couldn't agree more with all the comments already made. Just lovely! I've been thinking about trying utility pants and this has made me decide yes! Also just love those shoes and bag....solid colors would be great too but the ones you chose have an extra something!

  • Angie replied 6 years ago

YOU AREN'T TOO OLD FOR UTILITY PANTS.

  • Jenn replied 6 years ago

I LOVE this outfit, Joy! Your white EF top looks the same as my black one. That vest really adds a little extra something.

  • Joy replied 6 years ago

Kate, Dianna, Rachylou, Chris, Jenn, such lovely comments from such beautiful women.
    Angie, you made my day!
Chris, you need some utility pants. Some are more voluminous than others. Don't get discouraged trying to find the right ones.
Sterling, this EF top is great for warm weather but can look polished under a jacket. I hope you can find one on sale.
