PMWIW-Angie inspired and real

I managed to get this outfit for the challenge, basing it on one of Angie's outfits. I also wore it for a casual day picking up DS from the airport and around the house.
Shirt, tank under the shirt, belt, and clutch all from Target.
Black wide wool pants: J Crew via consignment.
Black and white Miz Moz oxfords.
My shirt is a regular shirt crossed over and tucked. I liked it best semi- tucked with tail out in back, but this isn't shown in the photos.
Does this work? For warmth I later added my plaid sweatshirt on top.

The faux crossover shirt is genius! Did it stay that way all the while? You look lovely!

I love the gingham...The inspired outfit by Angie is just spot on...Good choice adding the plaid sweatshirt for warmth...All in all...you definitely scored on this one...
(Forgive me for being Vera Vague but what is PM...Have I been in such a fog that I missed this one...smile...)

Aren't you clever with your tucking! Love the mix of scale when you add the sweatshirt!

I like that crossover! Fun look.

I'd encourage you to wear the "crossover" top again like this!  Looks great! I think I would like this outfit even better with more fitted bottoms -- even bootcuts.  I'm not making a general comment about widelegs (I've loved them on you), but I think a wide leg with more "drape," a lux track pant or skinny boyfriend would be a fab way to go, too.

Fantastic, Joy!! Love it all - especially the pop of colour with the clutch.

Thank you for your kind comments. This look is probably best when one can see that it is an attempt to copy an Angie look. I hope that it looks deliberate enough. Neel, I added a few pieces of fashion tape to prevent gaping, but the shirt stayed put all day.
Crutcher, the PM in PMWIW is " posting more" from Cocolion's challenge last week.
I should have taken photos of my "real" version as I later replaced the wool trousers with Gap Always Straight black jeans. The look was very much the same as those jeans are rather wide on me.

Beth Ann, those are good ideas. my BR Urban boot cuts don't get much wear, mostly because they need the right shoes. Stay tuned.
Jackie, I'm glad that you liked the orange clutch. It was as close as I had to Angie's beautiful citron one.

HAH. How fun are you, Joy.

    A very biased Killer. xo
