Olive, Black and Cream 2 Ways

Inspired by Angie's ensemble post on Friday, here are 2 attempts:
1-3: cream top, very dark olive jeans, cream booties, olive coat, pearls, cream and olive scarf, black and white bag.
4-6: dark denim jeans, black and cream stripe shirt, pearls, olive jacket, black and white bag, black and cream oxfords. I wore a black leather coat ( not shown) over this when going out.
I enjoyed both outfits and liked the white/ cream very much to lighten up the dark colors. Comments and suggestions welcomed.

Love iteration 1 Joy! The cream blouse and boots look really fresh.

And the cream blouse is so good with your hair x

I love the first one. Actually I like the second one two, but might try swapping the shoes for a darker pair with a point or slight heel because of the width of the pants. Cream suits you!

Thank you Jenni and Shevia. I forgot about pointy toes and a slight heel with the wider pants. I don't wear them very often.

As a girly girl, I am super loving the sleeves, ruffles, and pearls together with the clean-line booties and jeans, Joy. Brilliant cream bookending (including your hair)! From where are the dark olive jeans?

Hi Joy! Love that cream top on you! Love the ruffles and pearls together.

Love the frilly blouse, it's really pretty!I personally would prefer black shoes with outfits 1-3 asI feel that this would lengthen your leg line and go with the black stripes on your bag.I adore the 2 tone shoes in the last few photos,Good job!

Thank you, Column, Mariana, and Cardiff girl. The dark olive jeans! I am missing a find for them but they are Dre from Rag and Bone from this year's NAS.

2 good outfits, first one soft and trendy (pearls, faux fur, ruffles), the second one structured and classic. The cream and black&white make the outfits less earthy, more urban.

    Thank you, Skylurker. Well said.

I adore the first outfit. Nailed it. Killer. (Isn't our coat amazing? I wear it A LOT. The faux fur is sublime).

  • Joy replied 6 years ago

Angie, I love our coat too. Right now it is just the right weight.. It fits smoothly over a jacket or bulky sweater too.

  • Angie replied 6 years ago

Yes. And it's warmer than I thought. It's quite insulating. I love wearing it with navy, ink and cream.

I love that cream blouse.  It's so pretty!  It looks great with olive to keep the outfit from being too girly.  I love the striped top too.

  • Joy replied 6 years ago

Angie, that coat looks scrumptious on you. Thank you, Sara, the blouse has been a surprise wildcard.
