Black pants look good. Maybe they should be shortened a bit? Do what will say :) . The yellow jacket is a great color. I think the second jacket needs a lighter outfit. The third jacket looks terrific and useful.

Thank you, Shevia. I will consider all you said. I need more yellow in my life. The second jacket is often worn with denim or olive jeans and olive or orange top. The third is an early purchase soon after finding YLF. People think of it more as an outdoor jacket. Does it look ok for indoors?

I am with Shevia, yellow jacket is fantastic and that outfit is my favorite, suits you perfect. For the second definitely lighter outfit for you. The third jacket looks ok for indor for me, why not?

Well, now, I think those black pants are great and all of your outfits are beautiful, especially the yellow jacket!! Amazing! That one makes my heart happy to see on you.

My favourite outfit is with the yellow jacket - I love this on you! Your jacket is such a great shade of yellow. The black pants look classic and a beautiful fit.

I remember the yellow jacket - Target? It's great over dresses too. Try it over your black sheath. Great look on you.
Joy, the black pants need a bit of a hack. I am that pedantic about lengths :) Shape looks good though.
The hooded plaid jacket has rolled sleeves - is that part of the style, or are the sleeves too long?

Angie, thank you for looking and commenting. You have a great memory. Yes, that is the Target jacket. Great idea to pair it with the black sheath dress. That may be my outfit this Sunday.
I wondered about the pant length. They were altered to fit, including length, at Nordstrom’s, but no matter what I say, they do lengths as they please. Now there is nothing left to let out, so hack it is.
The plaid jacket does not have a hood, but a big collar and rolled sleeves with a button tab to hold them up. I have long arms and do not remember that they are too long.
ETA sleeve photos. The last shows one roll.

Mirjana, Cardiff Girl, Mainelady and Bijou. I am surprised and happy that the yellow jacket is a favorite. It has a high happiness factor and was one of my first tries at pattern mixing. I usually wear it with black and white polka dots... scarf or shirt.

Joy, of course. My pleasure.
Two inches above the ankle for the pants should be good.
VERY cute plaid jacket with button tab sleeves. Wear it with white jeans, silver and blush to make it more Spring-y.

Love all of these pieces. Agree with others that the black pants are a keeper. I am not an expert on lengths, so I leave that to Angie.
My favourite of these outfits is the last one. The combination of the checked jacket with the silver shoes and your hair is so beautiful and sophisticated. The very close runner up is the yellow jacket outfit. This yellow is really amazing on you and I love how you styled the short jacket on a column of black. Beautiful!
I love the jacket in no 2 - it suits you very well! The fit is great. I quite like it with the black, but maybe it would look even better with lighter colours.
You are so very stylish and always elegant. I can’t imagine that your wardrobe would contain anything but super fab pieces. The oldies are fantastic!

All of these jackets fit well, look currant, and go well with all black be it pants and top or dress. I like the way you styled them, too.

I agree with everyone else to date- really nice pants and jackets. I love the yellow - so pretty and happy.

Thank you, Bonnie and Sal, for your encouragement of these oldies. Bonnie, when I had to start over building a wardrobe, I started with making sure that I had an all black column for winter and for summer. Adding colors or other neutrals became easy. Now I make sure I have a column of white for summer and transitional seasons too.
Sal, I must work to add more yellow. I shopped this past week, but found nothing I wanted. It is a happy color.
